Nervo are well known in Australia. When they did the decent album track for Kylie's last album, Put Your Hands Up, it was huge news down there that they were co-writing and co-producing anything with her. I blieve they've done a lot of (sigh) Kesha as well--but their own stuff is less known here obviously.

Why? Isn't that how the soap press saw the last few years of OLTL? :P

ANyway not to start that. I admit, I don't like Jessie and the ToyBoys and I thought her career died after one club only hit--but I'm welcome to see what they do with her (I assume it'll be a small role at most.) I find it kinda funny KDP tweeted her--she prob thinks they should do a duet :D

One of my Australian friends is apparently too hipster for Nervo, dismissing them as "part of the Tommy Trash bizarro universe" he has never heard of. I have no idea what that means because I don't speak kanga, though his and my musical tastes usually intersect. But I like them!

So far I at least know the names--like I said the Nervo sisters have produced for the likes of Kesha and Kylie (OK, I know a lot of N Americans don't hear Kylie) so I'm sure you've heard something they were involved with. Or maybe not.

I do like that they seem to be promoting interesting artists (OK, like I said Jessie and the Boy Toys isn't a fave of mine, but still)--not just big acts like One Life did a few times a year before. As long as it's not too intrusive, it seems a good way to feature them in the occasional club scene and probably not a bad deal for the companies involved--up-and-coming artists usually gain more from exposure on tv shows than established ones, anyway, even if those might bring in more viewers.

I heard they are doing just that. Maybe you should decide not to watch (again)... ;)

So they should only feature in club scenes music from.... pre 1990? 1980? That'll really get a buzzy online audience. (And hey, I love me some disco, 80s synth pop and 60s Brit Pop so it's not like I mind out of taste.) I do agree that obviously they can't devote big chunks of episode to any fo these acts--at least not often, but if they're the music in the club and we cut to conversation, etc, I have no prob.
