Wow, yall pay a lot!

I pay $150/month for cable, phone & internet. Before my parents moved in it was even less because I didnt have a house phone, but they need one.

Wow I'm so happy I have digital cable and my provider doesn't have these issues

I have Time Warner and they've had these issues quite a bit cause of greedy networks who want to charge for channels we can get over the air for free. Most recent was the end of 2012 and losing NBC/ME-TV

Time Warner has these issues constantly. A few years ago lost THE WB(as it was called then) for over a month cause of this kind of thing.

All I pay is $43 for internet. Land lines for home phones IMO are outdated with everyone owning a cell phone these days, unless you have a family. I use an antenna to get a bulk of my tv and internet for the rest.

Yeah the phone for what they needed was like 45$ extra. Annoying. But they pay for it so whatever. I do watch a lot of tv on the Internet but I still need Cable & a DVR set up. I love lazy days of just chan flipping.

I have a triple play bundle from Time Warner and I only pay $130 a month, a good deal given these bundles tend to be about $160 a month or higher

My DirecTV bill honestly isn't horrible a month but I can count on barely two hands the cable stations I watch on a consistent basis, so I think I'd be good but not everyone is the same. I'll have a TiVo for the local stations and Netflix/Hulu so .... I'd rather save that $100ish a month. I really need to find out when my contract is up ...

Although I do have to admit, dropping satellite/cable would feel weird, though I can probably adapt lol. I've tried to slowly inch myself away from television the last few months just so it doesn't seem like a "loss" when it's dropped. I don't like being "tied" to anything anyway so the less I have to worry about the better. Simple is so much better (for me).

I am noticing this trend of carriage disputes ... I'd love a shift in how our shows are rated and options for watching, like ala carte, etc.

I have DirecTV and haven't noticed that.

I'm tired of shelling out way too much for satellite. I, unfortunately, live in an antenna fringe zone, meaning in between both major areas (Orlando and West Palm). I can't have a big outdoor antenna so I have to settle for attic, and for the most part, a decent antenna works. I can't pick up NBC though with any of them, but that station is notoriously difficult to get I've read.

Anyway ... so ready to cut DTV! I'll be saving over a grand a year. That makes me sick.

Kman.... why can't you have an outdoor antenna?
