So my guess is that the person who dies on the Thursday is some under 5 who gets in Vlad's way.

It's from after Babe's death - he got into a fistfight in the hospital with Adam and JR, and Adam called security and had him arrested. His attorney told him he'd be out on bail in no time, and David said when he did, he was going to kill the bastard who murdered his daughter. It's NOT a new scene.

no where in the spoilers does it say hayward vows revenge before Thursday. It could be the following week

Yeah, I took that a heads up that someone would die that day but not necessarily someone we know. I took it as more of an acknowledgement of the return of the show and the end of week cliffhanger. Who's going to die today? It's been a year and half since we've been able to ask that question.
