WILL/GABI BABY BEING CAST THIS WEEK....THIRD GREAT-GREAT-GRANDCHILD OF TOM & ALICE HORTON SET TO MAKE DEBUT IN MAY!

The baby of Will Horton and Gabi Hernandez is being cast this week and will tape its first episode on February 5, 2013, with a first airdate in May, 2013. The baby will become just the third great-great-grandchild of Tom & Alice Horton, joining Scotty Banning (born 1977) and Claire Brady (born 2006).

Role: Caucasian or Hispanic newborn twin infants (recurring U/5)
Tape Date: Begins 2/5/13
Role Info: Beautiful Caucasian or Hispanic newborn twin infants. Age does not matter as long as they are 10 pounds or less. Please submit if you have just had twins or know of someone who has. The baby would play a recurring role in a wonderful storyline on Days of Our Lives. We follow all rules and regulations for newborns on our set and they can only be here for 2 hours at a time.

47 years and this is just the third great-great-grandchild of Tom & Alice. Based on that, I considered it an important casting, per the show's history. Sorry if our definitions of important are different!! I was basing it on the historic aspect of the show's five decades on the air.

It is big news but it's also sad that it's just their third great-grandchild. It's too bad DAYS ignores most of the Horton's.

TFP Jason! Glad to see we are getting a baby. I know most figured it would be born but you just never know ...

We have Maggie (and shes a horton, those who say she isnt can sit to the left), Jennifer, Hope, Lucas, Will, Abby and Nick. Thats seven Hortons, plus random visits of Julie (and Allie). Its really not that bad but they mostly go by different last names and that tends to lessen the Horton feel on the show. I do wish that Hope/Jen/Lucas had more of a relationship though but they do play up Nick/Abby/Will and Lucas/Jen sometimes, so thats nice.

In comparison, we only have Sami as a lead for the Brady family, with support by Kayla and Caroline (Oh, and Roman). Of course, Will too but hes never been much of a Brady IMHO. EJ/Kristen/Stefano/Chad rep the DiMeras.

John & Marlena are basically free agents, tho I guess could be tossed in the Brady mix.

Then there is Victors group of Brady. Daniel, Sonny, Justin and Adrienne.

The show just needs to play the bonds up more, but i do feel they have been recently.

Oh, and id kill for Maggie & Marlena to be friends again.

Yeah, I miss Maggie and Marlena's friendship.

And it's true, there are Hortons front and center but I guess I just see them as such a large family that it's glaring how many AREN'T featured who could have been, should have been, etc. I gotta stop thinking in a writer's mind-frame with DAYS lol.

Some bonds do need to be played up a little bit more but I'm sure it also has to do with backstage stuff like scheduling, episode guarantees, etc. I think the interactions have gotten a lot better. I did notice that improvement immediately when Tomsell took over and I've always given them props for ultimately making the show feel like a community, for the most part.
