DAYS:

-Chloe is further destroyed in order to prop Dannifer.

-Corday makes huge changes for the worst in order to save the show. (ie Firing Deidre, Drake, Eileen, Lauren, Kristian)

-Stephen Nichols returns, but is backburned after a month.

-Bryan Datillo continues to get no storyline and takes the place of Lisa Rinna by randomly popping up in the middle of episodes.

-Sami gets together with Rafe until May sweeps. Sami & EJ become a couple from May to July. Sami reunites with Rafe in August, but they break up again in October. Sami & EJ reunite in November and have a big November Sweeps wedding, but it doesn't last long when Sami leaves him after the wedding. Sami reunites with Rafe at Christmas.

MY "BANK-ON-IT" EXPECTATIONS

- Days either gets canceled or gets a reboot. I'm honestly not sure. I feel like DAYS is safe but NBC has been awfully quiet about it for a while, IMO.

- GH brings back Genie Francis

- B&B backburns Karla Mosley and Lawrence St. Victor after a few months

Although I would not be surprised if NBC chose to cancel DAYS later this year, I am inclined to believe they will give the show one more shot. NBC, though, might mandate that Sony and Ken Corday make changes at the top (and with network-approved choices).

That's a given. Maybe even less than a few months. This all comes with a price - Texas Battle once again struggling to act.

Yall sure do give Sweeney a ton of power and pull.

Too bad she doesnt have that much, if she did Sami would be a much different character.

I would love to have known what Ted & Betty Corday's reaction would have been in 1965 if someone had told them that by 2013 DAYS would be focused on Bill's widowed daughter, Marie's convict grandson, a horny doctor, and a straight girl impregnated by a gay guy.

But, aside from the long-time or well-read up on history fans, who would even know that Marie was Nick's grandmother. Same for Bill and Jennifer. It's just a shame the show lacks that multi-generational aspect. It really does when you look at it.

Yeah. I think the show might have one more shot. I mean I want it to stay but changes do need to be made but I think more of a stink needs to be made about there needing to be changes. The press needs to get on it, etc.

And even if the show were cancelled, Sony doesn't let any of their shows die without a fight. Even a poorly performing sitcom. Granted, primetime is a much different breed and there's more room for switching networks. At least I hope Sony could potentially find another home for it.

I feel like NBC will keep DAYS as long as it is turning profit as they still have much bigger problems in Primetime. They instilled that option for 2013-2014 for a reason. There is no Daytime department devoloping new programming like ABC/CBS. Just my opinion of course but I think NBC at the most will hand out some network mandated changes.

The multi-generational aspect is what I miss most about DAYS. The characters are there, but they don't try to integrate the family aspect as much in my opinion. And that doesn't just go for DAYS, but all the other soaps too.
