HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

I'll be damned if I am spending a shitload of money on eBay. Is it digital somewhere? Or can't someone, IDK, transcribe it? Can we pay them in gold?

I have the AMC tribute mag from SOD. I wish I could scan it for you

I don't think EON ever did too well on ABC. Wasn't its first issue the fact that it used to be on, true to its name, late in the lineup--and when they moved it early it lost a big chunk of audience (people have claimed partly due to the large number of women workers and men who would get home in time to watch it)

They should have kept EON on at 4PM.

Frankly. There should have been more soaps on a 4. It just works better for people who like a soap but didn't get a chance to see it because they aren't at home. Believe it or not. There's still people without a DVR and alot of people who don't like watching online. And, watching live is just more fun anyways.

Also. That 4PM slot made room in the lineup for more soaps.

There's alot of things changed over the years that have caused the demise of the genre. And, IMO. Having only 3 or less soaps on each channel is one of them.

When I was a kid. There was still 9-11 soaps on air. That didn't change until around 2003. Then, little by little more were cancelled. Leaving us with four. Pathetic.

I wish I grew up in 80s instead of 90s. That way. I could have watched EON, SFT, Capitol, etc, etc.

Maybe its best to offer some of the harder gets at AMC recuring deals first, so actors can see what AMC will be like thru PP?

Marty...Noooooo! sad.png

She was insane by the end.

Marty was insane up until her rape in 1993. Thats why jer exit story never bothered me. IMHO, Marty came full circle

She had a good reason too the last time, losing her husband and then the stuff with Cole, only so much a person can take.

If PP doesn't undo the Cole and Hope stuff, Marty will def be even more cukoo

At least she had a reason before her rape. She was drunk all the time. Marty the Party Girl!

Her obsession with Andrew & then saying he molested Billy which basically forced Billy to come out was pretty insane

Debbi said she thought MEK was on board so maybe he and Cady could be recurring? Like I said, I think AMC is gonna have a lot of recurring cast members

I wonder who - other than Walt Willey, Stephanie Gatschet, and Jennifer Bassey - haven't even been contacted. I mean, if the cast is gonna be this small, they might as well start asking people they didn't originally want
