Then I wonder why this story is even needed for these particular characters. It's very odd to me. I have a feeling we're going to see Destiny on a stripper pole soon enough.

Here's a thought: what if the "SugarDaddy.com" business is not what Matthew thinks it is? Perhaps someone else was using Destiny's computer to score rich, old men? Or perhaps Destiny is doing some sort of undercover work (for the police department, for the campus paper, or for whatever) in order to expose someone or something? I mean, that could be possible...couldn't it?

Well she has that quote about providing companionship but yes, I think there is definitely room for miscommunication in the dialogue

Yeah, if this had happened under Frons' regime, chances are, Matthew would have called Destiny a dirty whore and said she only meant anything to him after she'd had been raped and left bleeding to death in the snow.

This story reminds me of girls in college (which I would presume Destiny is) working as strippers to pay for school. Maybe it's something along that vein, being some sort of escort but not actually sleeping with anyone.

Then she is doing it on the QT, because no way would Bo and Nora allow that to go on. Shaun, too, for that matter.

If this is the story then Matthew would be one of the most disgusting characters on a soap.

I also end up wondering if the last page has him getting shot in a robbery, with Llanview's new reverend asking if he will accept Jesus as his savior. Matthew flatlines and then spends the entire next episode running from cardboard cutouts of Tyler Perry.

And when you remember Casey's attitude toward Gwen and their baby on AS THE WORLD TURNS, that is saying a LOT. LOL.

I wish this story would get all Tyler Perry. "Madea's Life to Live."
