You know something? That casting breakdown does sound a lot like Joey Buchanan. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Frankly, I believe no "official" announcement for the new HW (or HW's) for ALL MY CHILDREN has been made, because no one really wants the job. Not even with Agnes Nixon back on-board...and ABCD and Brian Frons not.

I think it's more like they're busy doing ding dong ditch at Marlene McPherson's house and calling at 3 AM, breathing heavily and hanging up in a Paranormal Activity-esque campaign of terror until she agrees to their lowball contract. Good old Prospect Park.

20 contract cast members

Viki, Clint, Dorian,Todd, Kevin, CJ, Joey, Blair, Tea, nuDani, nuJack, Natalie, nuJessica, Brody, , Bo, Matthew, Destiny,a younger female that would be a blank slate, Cutter

What stories I wish would play out

An equal Dani/Matthew/Destiny triangle

Jessica/Brody/Natalie

Kevin/Tea pairing

Recurring, maybe 2 younger characters that could be blank slates, Rama, Vimal, Roxy, Shaun, 2 new AA characters for diversity (maybe one of them could be paired with CJ)

I guess Nora could be recurring. I can't stand her ass but she is connected to Matthew and Bo

Forgive me, but I often find myself more excited about the new additions to the casts when I'm reminded of the teens through early thirties rosters of both shows. I want new stuff. I like Natalie, Brody, (the idea of) Jessica, and others, but I'm a little weary of the same old same old beat to death triangles. I'm not saying ignore history, but the many months away from Llanview and Pine Valley are a storytelling blessing. Your life can change in a day let alone a year and while I'm not saying that they should ignore history, so many more new and interesting developments can be established that could start these shows off with intriguing and unexpected bangs.

Sweet Jesus, but that's funny as hell.

But seriously, the more I think about the possibility of AMC 2.0, the more I ask myself, "Is it really worth the reboot?". Even with all the resurrections that happened at the end under Project Walking Dead (tm...marceline, I think?), I still felt as if a crucial amount of the show's core had vanished. I mean, my God, we're even talking now about the possibility of an AMC without Susan Lucci; and while I know she isn't everyone's favorite actress, I don't know whether AMC could survive without the actor who had been, for many years, its biggest draw. And most everyone else that we'd love to see on the new series (which, I have noticed, does not include much of AMC's last contract cast roster) have either dead, retired, moved away, or moved onto other projects.

I won't say AMC 2.0, if it happens, will be a failure. But I think it will take a tremendous amount of work, building a new generation of characters through the few established ones that will end up on the show; and even then, there are no guarantees.
