I'm been reading quite a few suggestions from folks begging Cartini to bring Keesha back for AJ and, well, those poor souls must not know Cartini* at all to think that they'd:

a. bother to bring a non-stereotypical Black female character back on-canvas (especially since she'd been written off by showkiller Guza in such a half-assed way in the first place)

b. bother to depict her as nothing but a two-line-a-month token or a stereotypical mess

*while I'll be the first to remind folks that the Cartini regime (in general) GH is miles ahead of the fuckery that showkiller Guza's/bootleg Janet Wood's shat out for over a decade, I also have no problem reminding folks that Cartini is just as dreadful as the former regime when it comes to depicting Black characters/providing Black characters with substantial airtime (on OLTL). As much as I loved Keesha (and thought that she, Maya, and especially Justus, were done wrong by said former regime), I'd rather that she stay away rather than subject her to whatever Cartini would have in store for her.

I am one that wants Keesha back, but unfortunately you are probably right. I really don't want to see AJ paired up with one of Jason's whores (Sam and Liz), and I DAMN sure don't want him with Carly. I can't even believe some people want them as a legit couple after all the sh-t they did to each other (more of what Carly did to him). But he did handle Rachel horribly and the only time he put any effort into the Evanses was the two day reveal that Greg was Destiny's father.

I'll just imagine a Keesha return in my head :(

Oh, believe me, I'm with you on not wanting to see my AJ being saddled with one of the roided goiter's asslickers - mainly because I love Sam with McBain (although she needs to cease with the roided goiter rhapsodizing immediately or else I'll sadly have to hop off that train) and don't want AJ to be subjected to Liz's insistence on deifying his assh0le brother (a.k.a.: the very thing that ruined her character in the first place).

And don't even get me started on the horrendous idea that some delusional folks have on pairing AJ with the gangrene that infected this show, as the very thought makes my blood pressure rise to levels that one can't even begin to measure. The fact that Cartini still allow her rancid ass to exist on this show (and effectively ruining Johnny and threatening to ruin my Todd in the process) is the only reason why I refuse to give them complete kudos and why I am cautious as hell about how they plan on handling the return on the Real AJ Quartermaine.

So, you are, indeed, correct about Keesha being the only non-roided goiter-infected prospect* for him (and, yes, I did enjoy the little time that I did have of them as a couple before that muskrat trash came along to fvck things up for them). If it were any other regime (namely, Claire Labine/Wendy Riche = the best GH regime that I had the pleasure of experiencing), I'd be over that reunion like white on rice. However, I cannot ignore the dreadful history that Cartini has with Black soap characters (as sorry as I am to burst your bubble, as I truly wish that I could fully embrace the Keesha return in your head).

*while I'm well aware that Keesha dated Jason Q (back when I loved him and he was a part of a coupling that I enjoyed), that was before he became the roided goiter that I came to loathe with the fire of a million suns. As a matter of fact, his callously dumping Keesha was when I'd written his ass off in the first place.

I hear Burton and Kanan are not blood related and them looking alike is just a coincidence.

BTW, can someone please explain to me exactly when Johnny/Kohnnie out- leveraged Todd?! So that I don't draw the conclusion that Todd being blackmailed by Konnie for a job is the worst piece of plot pointed convoluted chit, please help me to understand when Johnny got the upper hand and Todd no longer has anything damaging on him? This kind of "writing" is inexcusable!

    • Yes, they are new pictures of him.
    • I would submit to you that she doesn't need any more excuses, not when it comes to Bill. But, I am one fan who thinks Bill isn't done with Dani & also the reverse is so. Those two, IMO, are locked in some kind of toxic but  irresistible vortex. I'm not saying we're going to have scifi. Just the personality kind of vortex. OH!!! Thanks. I don't do Y&R. But I totally understand anger even frustration with Josh.
    • Any chance you could share this episode to the vault? Please.
    • @asafi @yrfan1983 Jennifer Brooks death was September 1977. A recap of it is here
    • a reference to a mystery character on Y&R named "Aristotle Dumas" who has been discussed a zillion times in the past few months but never seen.  Not mad at the character.  Mad at Y&R writer Griffith for the annoyance. Mentioned to point out the annoyances of Y&R in contrast to enthusiasm for BTG.
    • It also seemed like she wanted an excuse to go over Bill's and yell at him.
    • The number 1 rated soap, and no one seems to like it. I don’t remember the last episode I watched. The Damian story was the only thing keeping me watching but I just gave up on the show altogether again.
    • Not all friends are alike though and there should be a counterbalance in some friendships on soaps. Dani has already been all over the place enough and doesn't need an unstable friend.
    • I was finally warming up to Eva but today, that girl, what in the world was she thinking, crawling back to Mama saying she was under a lot of pressure. Pitiful. And, just what did she get for her trouble? Rebuffed, totally. Anastasia, she can go kick rocks. Who needs her & what was she wearing? I'm surprised to learn that some people did not have an appreciation of Dani & then Anita, right after, at Theodore's. I thought they were both right on the money & also sharp, witty.  Ted, of course, is playing at being Impervious Man, which is very funny & he takes it one step further, making all these declarations of his intent to woo Nicole back & win her trust again. I find myself laughing so hard at him & at how he has totally misread his circumstances. He has zero chance but wow he has so much confidence. This I find to be so humorous, possibly unintentionally so.  Edit to add: What does Alexander Dumas have to do with anything? And why are people seeming to be mad at him?
    • They feel like a bad Three's Company parody.
