October 30, 201213 yr Member for 4.05 billion, and a new Star Wars movie is coming out in 2015http://insidemovies....star-wars-film/ Edited April 16, 201510 yr by dragonflies
October 30, 201213 yr Member I'm totally freaking out right now. While the prequel trilogy wasn't that great to be kind, I always loved the fact that George Lucas was independent and owned his films outright and had complete creative control. This changes everything. Plus a new Star Wars movie? WOW.
October 30, 201213 yr Member This is sure to create a disturbance in the universe of one of my favorite Star Wars fanatics. I'll just wait for Disneyland to start pushing their Star Wars themed attraction. Go to Disneyland I must to see Snow White walking along Main Street with Yoda and cp3o. That darned mouse just won't go away until he owns everything.
October 30, 201213 yr Author Member LOL every single site that reported this, from THR to EW was WRONG Matthew Smith @m67smith Guys, massive misunderstanding. Disney Bought Reagan's Star Wars Technology. Not Lucas's movies. The war against piracy begins NOW.
October 30, 201213 yr Administrator LOL every single site that reported this, from THR to EW was WRONG No it's true. Check out deadline.com I don't mind this. Disney will do a great job marketing the films and they haven't done damage to Marvel yet, so this could be a good thing for the SW franchise. Wow, Disney now has Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.
October 30, 201213 yr Member George Lucas talks why he sold Star Wars to Disney. Also Disney lays out plans for Star Wars. Not just 7, but Episode 8, and 9 planned as well. More Star Wars in the parks, tv shows. http://www.deadline.com/2012/10/star-wars-disney-episode-7-three-more-movies-planned/
October 30, 201213 yr Member We could go on making Star Wars for the next 100 years. R. M. E. Also Disney lays out plans for Star Wars. Not just 7, but Episode 8, and 9 planned as well. More Star Wars in the parks, tv shows. Oh, good God. I liked the first SW -- you know, episode IV -- but beyond that...? I just didn't get the appeal.

It could be really good depending on who they get to shephard the franchise. Warner Bros lucked out with Chris Nolan, and Disney/Marvel with Joss Whedon. More Star Wars in the parks, tv shows. Can't wait to see Darth Vader show up on Once Upon a Time! LOL
October 30, 201213 yr Member Can't wait to see Darth Vader show up on Once Upon a Time! LOL Someone made a joke on twitter that we'll see Ewoks running around OUAT before too long. LOL Actually, Lucas had been working on a live-action primetime to show set between Episodes III and IV, focusing on the birth of the Rebellion/resistance against the Empire. I wonder if that will see the light of day now? I could see it air on ABC after OUAT. Edited October 30, 201213 yr by wingwalker
