"So, is this how it works, Doctor? You never interfere in the affairs of other people or other plants, unless there's children crying?" pg 16, Amy, The Beast Below  -- The Official Quotable Doctor Who: Wise Words from across Space and Time

Rose:I can see everything. All that is, all that was, all that ever could be.

The Doctor:That's what I see. All the time. And, doesn't it just doesn't it just drive you made made.  -- The Official Quotable Doctor Who: Wise Words from across Space and Time

Eccleston was treated horribly after he left - as if he was some kind of a traitor. Considering RTD's later childish behavior with fans on Torchwood and what a lousy hack job Collinson did at Corrie, I tend to be on Eccleston's side.

Eccleston always deserved a lot more credit than he’s gotten.

I liked Tennant, but preferred the overall direction the show seemed to heading with Eccleston. By the time Smith took over, it was too late to course correct the overwhelming focus on the Doctor as an object of romantic affection.

I find less and less to like about RTD with each rewatch. He was incredibly self-indulgent. Moffat was as well, but I thought he hid it a lot better until he lost Amy and Rory, his first Companions.

    • Hold on to that thought, because I'll be eager to know if you feel the same way as you progress through her journey, after that evening.
    • Very interesting and great to hear, I'm glad she isn't just largely unpopular.

    • Wow, they really wasted Lucky in this latest return. How could they botch it up like that? And I really hate what they've done with Nina. So she's going to betray the one person who's done nothing but be kind and loving to her after having moved past the fact that she pretended to be her long lost daughter for someone who isn't even worth it at this point? There is really no coming back for Nina, is there? I honestly won't be surprised if both Sasha and Willow end up disowning Nina and cutting her out of their lives for good. And Nina is going to be even more of a pariah and social outcast than she already is.  Honestly, if the writers are going to make the entire town hate Nina, they might as well make her a full blown villain at this point and have her actually own it. Maybe losing Willow and the kids forever might finally prompt Nina to embrace her dark side and go full steam ahead with her villain era. At least make her the kind of villain people can get behind and enjoy, not... whatever this is.  On the other hand, Willow delivering Sasha's kid in court is actually an interesting twist. Wonder what Sasha is going to name her daughter now?
    • Someone needs to help me stop laughing because I've been crying from laughter in the past half an hour. My husband came to check if I'm okay. I'm more than okay. Is it Christmas already?

    • I can't imagine it was a shock to any of the actors, especially one so industry savy as Zimmer. However, it must have been like all of us, watching a loved one fading away and knowing it was going to happen but still being shocked when it does. Wheeler is to blame for waiting so long for that Hail Mary pass to be thrown. Its funny but this was the time that the writing seem to be getting better so someone fixed that, but why didnt it happen sooner? Again, at least the GL I saw go off the air, despite looking like it was filmed in my backyard, was the GL I knew with the right characters coming back and the right things happening. Unlike ATWT.....
    • This is a guess, but Kat is going to mess around and help get Leslie off on a technicality. She is too determined to go around the law. Sharon is so entertaining. The way she acted like Anita was about to trip her down or something at the end was hilarious. The silence from Tracy and Sharon when Anita called them out for not backing Barbara out was telling. They can't defend themselves because they were just as hungry for success as Anita was.
    • I am sure it was not what JJ thought was going to happen with Lucky or Lucky/Liz and I don't think JJ will ever be back.  That was just an awful return and his return in 2010 wasn't anything great lol.

    • I don't think this is anything but a pause. I think there's a lot more of Liz/Lucky coming up ahead. Think of it as a classic fakeout.  Edit to ADD: Well, crap. Ignore me. Outta there.
    • Now she used to be on the Directing rotation, so is this when she was off of it for awhile & now is back?
