September 19, 201213 yr Member Ugh JMs hair on TGW last season was horrific. I think it was supposed to be sexier and a throwback to the sultry movie star styles of the 1940's. It was awful. And the moment her hairstyle appeared in the previews, TGW boards everywhere caught fire and people were declaring themselves pro- or anti-bangs. LOL! So why is it scandalous for soap fans to rag on clothes and hair? I mean how many times have we laughed people on all these Pennsylvania-based shows for walking around in spaghetti straps in January? Anyway... I think Finola looks nice. Her cut is decent but the blond ends seem trashy. I do like that her outfit conveys strength while being a tad sexy. I could see this woman as a spy.
September 19, 201213 yr Member As some who grew up in PA I have seen girls trying to look cute walking around with no coats in the winter wearing summer clothing and stared at them like "Bitch, wtf is wrong with you?!"
September 19, 201213 yr Member Ugh! What a dreadful episode. No movement at ALL! It's Guza's fault! Ah, that's right! I forgot!
September 19, 201213 yr Member LOL @ the outrage over the cheapness of the wardrobe in those promo pics, as if GH ever had a Sex and the City/Gossip Girl-caliber wardrobe budget. As Mama Khan would say: "It's not the clothes that make the man, it's the man who makes the clothes." He looks like he's playing a deadly serious round of the Hokey-Pokey. I'd say it is outrage - hilarious, at that - as daytime soaps have never been known for having a top-notch wardrobe budget. Yet, folks are now clutching their pearls in disdain over the bargain basement wardrobe? Let's put it this way: if Robert Anton were GH's costume designer, no one would say jack. He, along with Carol Luiken, knew how to dress people. I don't think NLG's hair can be salvaged. She needs to go super short and allow it to grow. Her hair looks like straw. Absolutely horrible! That's what happens, I think, when you over-condition. I truly do not recall her hair looking that bad on SANTA BARBARA. They just throw designer duds at people and think it will work and look good. Exactly. If one leaves the soap bubble and goes to...oh say...any other board on the net, people bitch about wardrobe and hair. Julianna Margulies' bangs on The Good Wife (which they have thankfully gotten rid of), Debra Messing's scarves on SMASH, Chris Colfer's EVERYTHING on Glee. Thank God for that, too! Tell me the power of prayer is meaningless! The devil is a liar, I say! Edited September 19, 201213 yr by Khan
September 19, 201213 yr Member Oh shut up with this crap aout this being an improved version of GH. It's not. It's the same old crap; different day, different writers, extra characters! Don't feed the troll, love... Don't feed the troll. This thread turns to utter garbage every time we do.

September 19, 201213 yr Member My cousin did that and I yelled at her! It's 30 degrees out here, wear a jacket!
September 19, 201213 yr Member I'm not sure it's "outrage." We're not calling for protests on ABC. Tell that to the ones who've ordered the plane.
September 19, 201213 yr Member It is interesting to see how much better some actors look when they get away from soaps and get a gig on primetime or film. It's not just the clothes in most cases but the lighting and the makeup. You don't realize how little these folks have to work with until you see these actors in something else where the crew has the luxury of time and/or budget. Thank God for that, too! Tell me the power of prayer is meaningless! The devil is a liar, I say! I can't recall when I've seen a bigger hair freakout on any board than when The Bangs of Doom showed up in pictures. It's especially funny because JM wears a wig on the show. Edited September 19, 201213 yr by marceline
September 19, 201213 yr Member I guess if I was complimenting the wardrobe when JFP was around, I would feel like a hypocrite, but I don't think I was. If I did, I apologize. Same here. Whatever dings I've made against wardrobe and other, aesthetic choices, they're not due to who's in charge now.
September 19, 201213 yr Member I can't recall when I've seen a bigger hair freakout on any board than when The Bangs of Doom showed up in pictures. Not even when Keri Russell cut off all her locks and caused the downfall of western civilization?
September 19, 201213 yr Member Not even when Keri Russell cut off all her locks and caused the downfall of western civilization? LMAO! I didn't watch Felicity but now that you mention it, you're right. The fact that the world lost its [!@#$%^&*] over that before the internet became such a force is a testament to the power of Russell's hair. I stand corrected.
September 19, 201213 yr Member The fact that the world lost its [!@#$%^&*] over that before the internet became such a force is a testament to the power of Russell's hair. More than that, people wanted to blame the hair (or lack thereof) on the show's overall decline during the second season. Really, Teenagers of America? The haircut made the show suck? And not the fact that Felicity couldn't make up her mind which douchebag she loved even after putting a gun to her head? Okay.
September 19, 201213 yr Member That statement makes me think GH should do a "If no one had built General Hospital..." episode.
