In Eileen Fulton's tribute episode she also sang "As the World Turns", although I thought it was maudlin and depressing.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I agree, there was definitely a sadness beneath the surface of that, partly because the show was ending, partly because it's glory days were way behind it, and partly because EF seemed to be happy for any little bit of respect they were willing to give her.

YES!!! That will always be one of my favorite poignant AMC moments. The underscore they chose for that moment was perfect, the quick montage of all of everyone celebrating Joe's anniversary, Erica (really Susan) tearing up amongst three of her closest male co-stars while they're all thinking of good ol' Mona...just flawless.

Guiding Light had their "There is a destiny that makes us brothers" poem. It was great until it was overused.
