See I don't blame her, nor to I blame Elisabeth Hasselbeck when it came to mentioning Stanley Tucci's wife. I HIGHLY doubt the hosts come up with their own questions, especially on these five-days-a-week talk shows. The research team should've caught that, unless it was adlibbing on Kathie Lee's part which is also possible, but still this is an easy mistake to make. They interview so many people and she clearly hasn't seen him in years.

I put this on the producers - I'm not a Kathie Lee fan, but it's not her job to do this type of research. It doesn't take much for someone working on this show to go to damn Wikipedia.

Does she not watch tv, or go online? I'm sure when his wife passed in 2010, it was mentioned on tv or came up in an article on the net.

I never knew about it, although it's not my job, so she could have done some research. But I think that's the role of the producers, to do a basic outline. I thought that was common.

I watch tv and go onlne and had no idea his wife died. People cant be expected to know every little detail about celebrities out there. It was an honest mistake and she gave a sincere and classy apology. Its not like she was trying to be a bitch and hurt him on tv
