Almost done with Season 1. OMG on the episode where the 12 year old girl that was left at the station when she was a newborn came back to tell Chief Boden how well she's doing (the tears) and then Haley gets burned to death and Casey's heartbreaking reaction and Mills walking over and taking him in his arms. The tears. The TEARS.

Aaaaaand another one bites the dust. I will miss Mills, but I really loved how they wrote his exit. It was cool how basically he made it clear that he'd never stopped loving Dawson. She was stunned. I wonder if she may be the next exit. Would be interesting. They also left it wide open that Mills could be coming back even though Charlie Barnett said on twitter that leaving isn't his choice.

I thought this was a really weak three episode crossover. It seemed to focus more on the serial killer than on the impact the crimes were having, and I always hate that. Maybe I'm just getting tired of all the repeat plot. Psycho kidnaps and tortures woman then gets caught plots are so done. For me anyway.

And it was a horrible new character introduction for Chilly.

I'm interested in what happens next with Casey and that guy who owns the strip joint.

I knew the sudden new neighbor for Bowden was a set up.  This guy up for Fire Commissioner and Bowden's poker buddy have both more than worn out their welcome.  I hope they let "Chicago PD's" squad to prove his innocence and toss these two right the f*** out of their jobs and into prison...

    • I’m still enjoying Leslie personally. It’s actually fascinating to see her so fear less about getting caught. I don’t even think she comprehends how Eva just saved her ass. Also her interactions with Kat and Jacob entertain me. She has great antagonistic chemistry with both of them.
    • BY FAR the weakest episode of the past week+. -- Even a change in writers cannot make Leo work as a character. Dialing back on his personality isn't enough -- he's still insufferable. Every scene he was in reminded me of why I grew to hate Carlivati. -- Chad couldn't make a longer obituary on John a go with a single phone call? So stupid. -- Jack and Jennifer should have called in their regrets the way Hallmark Sami did. I got nothing from them today and felt nothing. -- Jack slobbering the praise on Leo for his work at the paper was pathetic.

    • I was relieved to get a respite from the heavy John/Bo material today. Like previously mentioned, it really let us come up for air and breathe a bit, and good beats regarding John were still in play to keep that thoroughline going.  Peter Reckell was fantastic on yesterday's episode. I was worried Bo would be told about Victor and Doug off-screen, so though my heart was fully breaking for him, I'm really happy we got to see him react to their passings. How strange that both his fathers died in a plane crash, I'm surprised they didn't have a line about it, but maybe it would have been to clunky to include. Cat/Tate were a fresh interaction. Why would she "feel" like she knows Sami. It reminded me of when Carrie "felt" like she knew EJ when he first came to town as EJ Wells, where he should have turned out to be a long lost Tony/Anna kid, but then all the mess we got happened instead. With that and her mysterious call, colour me intrigued. I am going to confess something I am almost ashamed to admit ... I like the Jack/Leo scene! However, in my defense, it got very genuine between them and those historical references used about Diana, Duke, and Leo's past with John were all very strong beats to play for me, and most importantly it Leo's responses were kept to a minimum. But by God, those pants he was wearing made him look deranged. Also, shout out to Melissa Reeves, who came back effortlessly yet again. I can't wait to see her confront Chad about letting Cat into his life. And SSH shouting "SKYDIVING" was hilarious.

I also feel like we’ve honored her lately with the synopses that keep coming in! Just wish we had more clips! Maybe someday!
    • Of course Donna somehow missed Laura Wright’s moles for 20 years.
    • Today's Lucky and Liz scenes were horrible. There really is no way to explain Lucky's character. Not that anyone cared though. It looked like everyone involved just gave up, and that JJ couldn't get out of there fast enough.  Also, why is Sonny on every single day? Most of his appearances are so pointless. Can they not rest the character, even for a few days?
    • I agree.  She has become ridiculous, and simply not a believable character.  She needs to tone it down, or get to jail as quickly as possible.   I completely agree.  A bit of an Upstairs, Downstairs vibe is really all BTG is missing.
    • Aimless. That's a good way to put it. As far as killing Drew, I really want Porsha to do it, but they somehow get her off.
