OMG,she's real? She actually does the news? Well she hot and blonde which is why I guess she's on Fox.

LOL...yes she's real. She's also a Real Housewife of OC and yes she is a complete idiot

I'm trying to figure out what part of this story is about Sam being raped? She isn't talking about how violated she feels or suffering any bad dreams or reactions to the rape. Maybe if she were, I'd feel like this was a story about her being raped. But all we've seen is her torment over Jason not accepting Franco's baby. And it's not about Franco the rapist. It's about Jason's evil psycho twin. I hate rape stories because I hate that I always feel like soaps trivialize this violent crime. That is most certainly true in this case. Sam's rape is total plot point to manufacture a WTD story and keep Franco alive in a way. But the rape isn't top of mind for Sam. It's hardly part of the story and that's not at all what she's struggling with here.

What would you have the show do, have Sam walk up to every character and say "Hi, I was raped"? I guess they could have spent an episode sending Sam to a rape counseling meeting and do a PSA about it, but I think GH has had its fill of Afterschool Special moments. What exactly do you mean by a story about the rape. After the rape is over what happens then that falls into the category of being about the rape? Do we really need months of screaming and wailing from Sam yelling at god demanding "why me?". I remember Liz's rape and they incorporated that into a Lucky and Laura story and then a blossoming Lucky and Liz story. Emily got raped but that was incorporated into the larger story about Connor. I don't know how long a story strictly about the rape can sustain itself since once the rape is over there is precious little other that repetitive wailing, anger and screaming of the type Kim Zimmer would probably be jealous over.

She didn't sound much better in that clip than she did on GH. She sounds like a total ditz on that FOX news clip too.

Olivia just seems vile. I don't know if she has been like this all along or if it's the usual bad writing from RC.

Ah, Todd and his Shorty. Seeing Todd vow to get his daughter out of trouble while maintaining his unwavering love for her was a wonderful sight to see. Him not giving a sh!t about "killing" Frodd was the icing on the cake, as he was speaking for me and the rest of the true Todd Manning fans out there. wub.png

Today was my first time seeing McBain since he escorted Todd back to Llanview and, well:

1. Even though I was indifferent to him on OLTL, I have to say that he's a better fit on GH. Who'd have thunk it?

2. Jasus telling McBain that he has to go through him to get to the Moobster was hilarious, considering that McBain would steamroll his bloated ass within the blink of an eye.

3. I have to agree with the majority of folks who are loving McBain/Sam together. Even though I loved them on PC and thought they had the best What It episode, I was worried that the sucktitude of GH would wash out their chemistry. Boy, am I glad I am wrong because KM and ME still have that sizzle in spades! For the first time ever, both Sam and McBain are interesting enough for me to pay attention to and it is all thanks to their chemistry. Ron better not fck this up by catering to tired ass JaSam.

As for the rest, well, Felicia looks great and I hope that discussion between her and Mac is the first out of many that they sorely need to have. As much as I loved those two crazy kids back in the day, I'd be at peace if they didn't try to make a go of it again. The important thing to me is that Ron undoes the shanking that asshat Guza inflicted on Felicia's character.

The show works tirelessly to make viewers love him, with Anna and Sam existing solely for this purpose. The show also has the worst leading men around, so he looks better by default. I'm actually surprised he's not better - Michael Easton still looks bored, and he and Monaco have the same lack of chemistry they did after he came back to PC.

3. I never realized until today, how much the kid who played Jack before the SORASing looks like Roger Howarth.

I truly wished that Carmen LaPorto stuck around until the end so that he could've met his real father.

Based on the rest of LaPorto's time on OLTL, he would have choked on a bad one-liner and then disappeared for a few months.

KM/ME still have the same sterling chemistry that they've always had, which is what's selling these McBain/Sam scenes to me. Ron had better not be a fool and squander that by making them siblings/related. I haven't seen Anna with him, so I can't weigh in.

As for him as a leading man on this show? Well, I can't say that he'd have been able to hang in the GH of yore, but since that GH hasn't existed in years, I'm perfectly fine with him shitting all over the two expired leads of the show.

Which would've been a better alternative than the hair model that we were stuck with.

I don't see this with Sonny - Sonny is basically still the same guy as always and the show has taken pains to not trash him (he was nasty to Kate, but so was Olivia, and apparently we're supposed to like her). They also had Sonny falsely accused of crimes, held at gunpoint, etc. FV even said a lot of the show will still be built around Sonny. McBain is basically just the new Taggart, with about a tenth of the looks and charisma.

Jason looks bad but I think that's mostly just to set up a triangle.

I hated the character no matter who played him. He spent all of his time being a sycophant for a rapist.

That's not the impression that I've gathered at all. The fact that fewer viewers are justifying Sonny's BS speaks volumes about how he has been outshined in value by another character (who is on the right side of the law). From what I remember of Taggart, he didn't nearly get the amount of airtime/point-of-view that McBain has gotten (for an obvious reason).

Jasus looks bad because he is a moldy slab of cheese. Unlike Guza, Ron is acknowledging this by having his wife/lapdog consider life without him based on the decision that she made - something that surely wouldn't have happened under the shitastic regime of yesteryear.

I hated the character no matter who played him. He spent all of his time being a sycophant for a rapist.

I found CLP a lot more tolerable than the hair model that replaced him - especially since Ron turned the character's assh0le meter to 200 as soon as he was recast.

I haven't seen any big shift in opinion since McBain arrived. I think a lot of the people who already hated Sonny still do. I haven't seen anyone saying they liked him and now they don't because of McBain. I don't think that the incredibly stupid story about McBain's never seen or mentioned dead sister helps matters.

He had a much smaller role on the show, so that helped.

If I recall correctly, Easton was even like that on Days when he was playing Tanner. That whole low energy, I'm bored

thing must be an acting choice. Maybe I sipped the Kool-aid, but I like it. I find that McBain makes both Jason and Sam more interesting to me.

What I would like to see explored is why Jason will walk through fire for Sonny, while it appears that Sonny doesn't have the same type of loyalty and affection for Jason.
