Members BingCherry
To me the biggest shocker (besides Y&R's lead actor slots) is probably Howarth going Supporting. He's a lock for a nom wherever he goes, but I thought for sure he'd be in Lead.
Members Jonathan
I think Debbi Morgan submitting in two categories could prove dangerous. She might end up splitting her votes which might lead to no nomination in any category.
Members BingCherry
But does she even have anything from Y&R worth submitting?
Members DaytimeFan
The DAYS Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress nominations are absolutely bizarre, bordering on insulting. How did Joe Mascolo and Lauren Koslow not land nominations?! They had so, so much material to submit. Valerie Wildman? Nadja Bjorlin? Shawn Christian? I'm insulted for both of them, they have carried this damn show and are the reason I watch, they have skill... I really hope Susan Lucci gets nominated and I hope she wins for the Erica and Jane storyline simply because I look at the rest of the nominees and I say nobody else did anything outside their comfort zone like Lucci did. Members Bright Eyes
Aren't these just the actors that actually submitted material to be nominated? With the new system, isn't the pre-nominee phase basically void?
Members darraholic
These are the people who submitted themselves. Lauren & Joe didn't submit anything. And Shawn Christian is still with the show. I dunno why they said Ex-Daniel. He's only gone for a few weeks.
Members juniorz1
Is Shawn Christian still with the show? Because I'm confused about that whole situation. The Y&R Lead Actor and Supporting Actrees submissions are shocking! I can't believe CLB, Braeden, and Bergman didn't submit themselves. I wish Eileen Davidson and Jessica Collins had submitted as well- they were the main reasons I watched Y&R at all this year. FYI: Even though I'm not sure how the turnout will be, I'll be doing a Dream Ballot again this year.
Members Skin
I'd be interested in seeing what they submitted. Lead and Supporting Actor along with Younger Actress actually looks interesting this year. The other three categories seem like a mess to me. Didn't she have a jaw dropping storyline last year with her drug/prostitution story? Bjorlin might not be a great actress but if it got a good reception her pre-nom could be justified. I hope Lucci doesn't win. She's probably one of the weakest dramatic actresses of all the pre-noms. Yeah I get it she plays the iconic character Erica Kane. That by no means says that Lucci's performance was the best of the represented year. Lead Actress belongs to Debbie Morgan. She was a powerhouse in AMC's last months. Members DaytimeFan
They did away with pre nominations? I sure missed that, where have I been?! Wow, well Lauren and Joe are either extremely humble and past the Emmy thing or they are really hard on themselves because they both had the material to make stellar reels that could have gotten them actually nominated this year, especially Lauren. The ego of some of these actors, Valerie Wildman, is she for real? She fell down a staircase and left Tamara Braun obsessing about a cameo, that was her contribution to DAYS this year! Members AllMyDaysatGH
Rooting for all AMC actors plus Brandon Barash, Becky Herbst, Molly Burnett, Crystal Chappel, Alison Sweeney, James Scott, Nadia Bjorlin, Casey Deidrick, Chandler Massey, Mark Lawson, Susan Flannery, KKL, Jacqueline Wood, Kim Matula, and Adam Gregory! Members AllMyDaysatGH
I totally agree about Debbi but I still just think it would be awesome, amazing & magical if we saw Susan take one last Emmy home! Unfortunately he was just taking a break so he could film some movie, he'll be back on screen in like one week.

Members Jonathan
I don't think prenoms were completely abolished. If you go to http://www.daytimeemmys.tv/ and click on downloads, you'll see that prenoms will be announced on March 2. What was done away with was the limit on the number of performers from each show that could enter in a particular category. The performers from the above list were required to submit a single-scene clip reel lasting no more than 2 minutes. The top 10 vote-getters will then move on to a blue ribbon judging panel where the top performers (traditionally 4-6) will be deemed the official nominees.
