Given how much Whitney's last years resembles MTV's toxic shows you'd think they would show more. I guess it's not as much fun if you think Teen Mom or Real World or Jersey Shore ends in death.

Here's what I was talking about last night. Crazy coincidence, but Maya Rudolph is actually hosting next week. It may be too soon. Who knows, maybe she'll do a direct address type tribute, say someting sweet, or what have you.

Finding myself strangely annoyed by non-Whitney-related FB status updates. In particular, one Debbie Downer friend who is always going on about some maladie she or her cat is going through.

I always feel mixed when this happens. Like, if you enjoyed an artist's work, wouldn't you already have their stuff in your collection? Or is it a sudden surge of nostalgia, or even folks who were unfamiliar with her songs? I'm not a pessimist, but stuff like this lends to my idea that too many people are like sheep and quick to hop onboard with whatever's "hot" at the moment.

Yeah I know what you mean. Her life pretty much mirrored MJ. Whitney was still visible but because of her illness...but her music career was gone. Her last album was unfortunately a complete mess. None of the songs hit the top 40 in the charts and the album only sold 1 million copies. It's a shame it took her death for her music to become relavent again.

I look to you CD that I mentioned above is #8 on Amazon sales with all her CDs in the top 20 in sales with her greatest hits at 1 with her ultimate hits at #2.
