wow I missed this as I didnt realize it was being televised. I could have sworn I heard a quote from her mother in regards to the funeral about how she and her family shared Whitney for nearly 30 years and wanted this time for themselves. Or maybe Im misinterpreting thi

It's none of my business, but I get more and more curious about the Bobby situation because it's sounding MUCH worse than I think any of us thought. I never would have guessed that this not being invited to the funeral at first/beingdenied acess to his daughter business was true. I mean, what the hell happened that security prevented him from going over to see his daughter?? If that's true, that an only mean one thing, that BK doesn't want him near her. She's grown enough to say yea or nay to her father.

The family decided against a stadium funeral - a la Michael Jackson - and agreed to allow an Associated Press camera in for the public to share in the funeral from a distance.

ETA:

He had two kids before meeting her, I think. During their relationship, I'm not sure. He had one after their marriage ended. From reports I've heard she loved his other children as she was their step-mother.

Ive been watching Whitney music videos all day long. Its amazing seeing the evolution of her music. I especially love the cheesy 80s videos. and its amazing what a vast difference you see in her and the production values going into the 90s.

Bobby Brown never had any kids aside from Bobbi Kristina during his marriage. He had 3 prior to Whitney and one after. I beleive his kids had every right to be there. Not only did they love Whitney and she loved them as their stepmother, they are Bobbi Kristina's siblings and would be there to support her during her time of need

These are the 5, that's Bobbi (soon to be 19) with one of the three before Whitney, LaPrincia (21).

This is LaPrincia's brother from the same mama, Bobby Brown Jr (20). The baby is Bobby's child with his current fiance.

This is Bobby's oldest, Landon (26).

Whitney Houston sang at the funeral service for Bobby Brown’s mother Carole Brown who was buried yesterday in Boston, Massachusetts. According to TMZ, Whitney reached out to Bobby and asked to be a part of the funeral spoke a few words at the service and said she would always consider Carole her mother-in-law.

Whitney performed twice at the service, first singing “Precious Lord Take My Hand” and then later joining in with Johnny Gill and New Edition to sing Never Would Have Made It.

Yeah, she had sort of a Valley Girl accent. BK seemed kind of miffed with the attention her big sis was getting, or sad and annoyed that she was still a kid and Laprincia was a big girl now.

They were a mess but they did seem like fun people to hang out with. I draw the line at cocaine though.

Ha, "line", I didn't even...

They say Mariah was there but I'm not sure if the back of the head I thought was hers was really hers. Oprah and Gayle were easily spotted up front. I don't know how I missed Mary J. when I later saw a pic of her outside in a ghastly long blond wig. There was another lady with light long hair who looked like a singer but I couldn't i.d. her. I also saw Leslie Uggams.

Landon had issues with Whitney that they may or may not have worked out. He didn't feel she loved him. He told the Enquirer a few years back he felt she treated him like staff and she didn't want him to hang around with Bobbi.

This is a video (or two) of Whitney singing at Bobby's mothers funeral earlier this month:

    • His original motives were unclear and all we knew was that he was working for Iris. But when it was revealed that Evan was Janice's son we found out that he had fallen in with Iris not because he wanted to follow Iris specifically but because he had his own anti-Rachel agenda. Charles Grant had more charisma than the later recast Eric Scott Woods who seemed younger to me.
    • Throwing this out to the universe: finding Elisabeth Shue's episode of As the World Turns (which I guess would have been circa 1983, maybe just before RDJ started watching Search for Tomorrow).

    • I thought today was still good. Leo is always awful, but the characters treating him like he's a plague feeds my soul. Rafe in particular had been very passive about him, but today was wonderful seeing him put Leo on notice. I really think it's being written that Javi is going to have to eventually take the blinders off and see Leo for who he really is. Them having sex on Gabi's desk made me want to explode. Roman taking in stray Doug was nice to see. And the mention of Frankie and Max was unexpected, but good to know they're at least being thought of. Tate being petty and a bit vindictive by going back to Sophia's as soon as he saw Doug with Holly was entertaining for me. I think I actually like Tate the most out of all of them because he's so damn messy.  Is Holly about to be kidnapped? Her first time? Also, Gabi finally revealing what happened with her the night EJ was shot and the clearing of all the other main suspects, but Johnny made this still feel like an important episode. I think Johnny will be cleared soon enough leaving everybody at a loss for the hell shot EJ. How the real shooter will be revealed is going to be interesting.  Speculation: When Kristen finally puts together that her daughter Rachel shot him, she'll agree to frame her mother for the crime, while keeping her hidden away from Salem.
    • That would have saved the Anita singing segment -- having her by herself, singing quietly and reflectively. Belting it out like she was in church did not work. The black screens fade at the end was a mistake. BTG insists on being different with these fades for the sake of being different, and it's not working.   I thought all of that was just fine. Worked for me.   I'm going to disagree with this. Martin hasn't had many scenes with his parents, but he's been around family A LOT -- and that's what matters. We also know Martin is someone with a hair trigger response. He can be very emotional when discussing an issue before getting to the logic and reason of it all.
    • My view of Evan is that he's smart but not as smart as he thinks he is, not a good guy but not an entirely bad guy - he's a lot of things, the show never quite knowing what to do with them. I never saw him as Iris' follower because Iris always seemed a bit in over her head from the start.
    • She was the Town Historian, who knew a bit too much about Brandon and the infamous cottage.  SF was still a pretty normal place at that time, with Nola and Reva being the most outrageous citizens....seems that Carrie Pipper would have stood out a bit more for people.

    • Yes, I need to dot hat. Also on my list talking to the person I got these files from since they clearly have a mess, in terms of dates being wrong. And, unfortunately finding one date wrong, automatically means more are wrong, too.
