January 9, 201214 yr Member she is by far one of my favorite actresses ever from daytime! i hope her stint on y&r didn't scare her away from daytime or scare any execs from hiring her. i would love to see her on either days, gh, or even b&b! maybe as a kristen forrester recast although she would probably be written out after 6 months after brad bell got over his excitment of hiring another emmy winner like he usually does. i just want to see her in daytime again while we still have the chance!!
January 9, 201214 yr Member she should have been the new Kate on GH if they HAD to recast, which they didn't
January 9, 201214 yr Member I agree that Maura would make a very good Kristen Forrestor recast on B&B but like Lesli Kay, I think she would be backburnered in 6 months or less. If they bring her on Days, they need to make her a new character. I think she would've been an interesting fit as Kate on GH.
January 9, 201214 yr Member One of the saddest parts of losing so many soaps is that many of these actors will fade into obscurity. There used to be so many different shows they could go to if things didn't work out on one show. Now the options are so limited.
January 10, 201214 yr Member They can go into real estate. I'm sure there are lots of things they can do. I don't feel sorry for the majority of actors who had very good paying jobs for a long time. I'm sure they are financially set, but I will miss many of them.
January 10, 201213 yr Member LOL I always wonder why SOOO many actors go into real estate. I guess it's something you can train to do on your own, fairly quickly and involves being able to speak in public? LOL I dunno...

I guess it's something you can train to do on your own, fairly quickly and involves being able to speak in public? LOL I dunno... Speaking skills and connecting with the buyers helps them in real estate. It also pays more than waiting tables or bartending, which many struggling actors do.
