Members Soaplovers
GL: I didnt realize Douglas Marland was still head-writing by September... I had no idea that Nola still carried a torch for Kelly by this time.. I figured she had completely moved on to Quint by this point. Seems like this Mark character was the main focus.. I assume this is the guy Amanda stole from her mother? Ryan's Hope: I see a new head-writer had taken over.. Seems like the show was clearing up stories... and doesnt seem like 'Kirkland's Hope'. Though I notice that Jill is just acting like a lawyer/confidante and not front-burner... Shame the show couldnt have spent the 18 months Frank was gone, building up a new love interest for her.. or even her finding her mother... It was like her character couldn't function without Frank or something....

Members DRW50
I can't see Douglas getting punched out! I wish I could see that Eve/Julia scene. AMC - Who was Rick? Search - the guerilla story sounds like a mess. I'm not sure why Search had to do all those international espionage stories. GL - I never knew Jennifer was pregnant with Mark's child. I also never knew Gracie had a story, or Katie dated Justin (Jackie was barely in the ground).

Members DRW50
AMC - Those recaps crack me up for some reason. They make Nina/Steve sound so porny (pointing out the "rabbitskin rug", saying Steve wants a "sex encore"). No one on AMC called Daisy "Monique" by this time, did they? How long do the recaps keep doing that?
Members DRW50
DAYS - what plans did they have for Oliver, Woody, and Gwen? The only one I'd heard something of was Gwen. RH - I never knew Sister Mary Joel came back in 1982. Apparently Jacqueline Brooks played her. Were there more story plans which fell through? There was a big gap for her before and after this. Texas - I didn't know Judith was paralyzed so soon before the show ended. That was a fast story.
Members FrenchFan
I wonder the same about Daisy & Monique. She is mentioned with both names for quite a long time. Just had a look and in 1984, you still have both.
Members DRW50
Maybe the person who did these didn't watch the show. Anyway, thanks again!
Members Mitch
Did the people who did the recaps watch the shows or take them from scripts written but not yet filmed (so things change when it is finally aired.) I know that a lot of the ATWT didn't air, like calling Brian, Lisa's "lover," (that was the plan but they changed it.) Also, John was "killed," in the bird sactuary not his home. (While not Marland this was a really "fun," time on ATWT...though you can see they are gearing up to make Steve then end all and be all "Union negotiations are pinned on Steve," etc.)
Members Soaplovers
Y & R: It is interesting to read about the Abbott's in the early years especially with Jill and Patty both marrying into the family... Man, Patty was clingy even back in 1982... Had no idea that Traci liked Jill... this must have been when Deborah adair was playing Jill.... cause I notice a lack of interaction between Jill/Katherine. GL: It looks like the head-writer shuffle was on hand... seems like a lot of stories starting to tie up or things are in limbo.. OLTL: I had no idea Karen was still on the show by late 1982.. I figure she had split.. looks like with Steve being in the picture that the ground work is being laid out for her departure.
Members DeeeDee
Like is a bit much. Traci was needy & Jill coddled her (to make a good impression on John) unlike Ashley who pretty much hated Jill (though she left her alone mainly to keep John happy).
