soaps that ended in a cliffhanger

I hated that damn ending!

So was it supposed to mean it was all just going to continue in our heads?

I don't remember hearing then that there was a possible 2nd chance for the show to continue on after NBC.

Generations may have tapped the last show before knowing it was cancelled

models inc. ended with the hitman pulling the trigger and we had to wait until the 2nd season to find out who got shot, then fox decided to cancel the show, so we never had the chance to find out!

When the cancellation was announced by NBC, creator Sally Sussman gave interviews declaring there was hope the show would go on somewhere else. I never have read any reports of whether any serious negotiations with anyone took place, but the scripts in the closing weeks were ramped up to build to the finale and storylines all left not just open, but with shocking cliffhangers.
