I think it would have hurt him professionally if he had stayed, since he seems to work with Ratner. They also may have delved more into his comments about gays, which were very notorious.

Eddie's OK, but he often seems to be laughing at his own jokes.

Well, hell, Eddie's been doing that for years.

Ratner stuck his leg down his throat. I may see friendship by also stepping aside, but I just hope that many will not put Eddie in the same boat as Ratner. That since he also stepped aside, he must agree with Ratner's vile statements.

I think most people will just see it as professional courtesy.

Most likely a lot of the public who follow this will end up seeing Ratner as a martyr anyway.
