None of Tad's "crimes" could ever compare to all Adam has done over the years. Violating Liza by swapping Jake's sperm with his, leaving Gloria to die locked in a room like an animal and killing her baby as a result of his heartlessness, shackling Stuart and leaving him in seclusion for years in the attic and never letting his special needs brother come out, gaslighting Dixie, kidnapping and selling Krystal's child on the black market, etc. There certainly are reasons for people to think Adam is a despicable person/human being.

No they were never best friends. David was his teacher, a former mentor whom he admired...thats all. When Griffin came to town, they barely interacted until this Project Orpheus story and that was never as friends. David was clearly his employer, one who kept secrets from him, which caused a rift, and Griffin eventually quit and turned on him. Nothing about their interactions this past year suggested that they were friends, let alone best friends. The closest thing David had to a friend was Liza but that has been inconsistent as they dropped that son after they became bed buddies and that went nowhere as well

I agree with you to a point, but Tad's self-righteous act gets old when he never ever acknowledges he's not that innocent. Too me whether you do a series of bad acts, or one as severe as burying a man alive.,.... you aren't exactly comparing apples and oranges.
