Personally I've found offering corrections to wikis is pretty painless, unlike trying to correct something on imdb.com or wikipedia, which is incredibly difficult to accomplish & as frustrating as one can imagine while attempting it. Correcting one factual error on Beverlee McKinsey's pages took 4 attempts on each site. An attempt to correct a factual error on Patrick Mulcahey's pages failed, utterly.

In a convoluted soap opera way, it might've made more sense if Cody was an embryo that was made at the same time as Serena, and later implanted by Rex into another woman to hold onto the family fortune.  But, that would've made him Scotty's son, and goodness knows, Scotty's already had too many long-lost kids come out of the woodwork.

Ned and Julia are fun, but they didn't stand a chance under Levinson. Ned may be sexually attracted to Julia, but he is still in love with Jenny. I'm in late May, 1993. Tracy has just run down Jenny with her car at the Port Charles Hotel parking garage. The tension in May is just insane sprinkled with beautiful moments of characters reflecting. While Jenny is in ICU, Julia sits with Ned in the waiting room after they have broken up romantically and Tracy's words echo in Julia's head how Ned will always be in love with Jenny. It's an emotional, underplayed moment.

I haven't seen any of A.J. and Julia as a couple yet, but I look forward to it. Crystal Carson bears a slight resemblance to Camille Cooper (Nikki) that I could see how A.J. was drawn to her. I wonder if Cooper possibly auditioned for Brenda because the Brenda groundwork starts in December, 1991, and Nikki arrives in January, 1992, when Linda Grover seems to have introduced more elements into the show.

When is Julia out? Is it November, 1993? I don't think Brenda's story heats up really until February when she and Sonny start and I don't think they knew how big that story was going to be. It is surprising they didn't look to bring back Julia because Brenda did become so big. Regarding Ned and Lois, Labine ends up redoing her bigamy marriage story from "Love of Life" slightly inverting some of the roles and adding the musical element. I think the Julia / Lois contrast would have been appealing (and would have been a great 1995 arc after Katherine is removed from the scenario). Especially given the Brenda/Lois connection.

I hadn't considered that piece, but that would be intriguing. There is a brief period (late 1989) where they explore Audrey's paternity lie when Simone isn't sure if Tommy, Jr. is Harrison or Tom's. It is a rather interesting angle that gets quickly dropped after Tom has a brief bout of depression and starts to go off the rails (but not too far). I wish Audrey's past was explored more because when it was (during Liz's rape, for example) it was incredibly well done.

I'm on the edge of Ryan going after Audrey and Steve Hardy in my viewing of 1993. I cannot wait. Bernandino and Ames are just great.

I'm approaching Tracy's departure and I'm curious to see what, if any, pivot we see in the Paul and Jenny story once Tracy is gone. I think there was potential involving Damian in the Paul and Jenny story given Paul was a lawyer with a complicated past with the Cartel, Damian's posh demeanor and his family's criminal ties, and Jenny as someone who had been drawn by men with power before. I could see Levinson's Angela Eckert clucking over the idea of Jenny and Damian now that Paul was becoming more of a suburban dad type.

I think there might have been a slight chance but the age difference between Josh Kelly and Carly Schroeder (if she were ever to return) would be noticeable. But isn't Cody Dominique's son in order for Mac to have a kid?

You know I struggle to accept men were so crazy of Jenny lol.  Considering Jenny/Ned were obviously never going to be endgame it would have been nice to see Ned slowly fall for Julia after she broke up with him.

I liked AJ/Julia.  It was sexy and fun.  Not a love match or anything, but enjoyable still.  I saw more potential with Ned/Julia/AJ.  Ned dropping Jenny realizing he never had her to begin with and getting jealous over AJ/Julia.

Camille Cooper auditioning for Brenda makes a lot of sense to me.  I would assume the show was initially looking for someone that actually looked liked CC.  Nikki also has some similar characteristics to early Brenda.  Glad the show held off on that casting and found the right actress for Brenda.

November 1993 sounds about right.  I would have to look it up.  The Sonny/Brenda romance was obviously a happy accident that blew up.  I was just thinking Brenda was being tested with AJ and Ned at this time so Julia would serve a purpose and an even bigger one once Sonny/Brenda took off.  Maybe the show wanted Julia out of the way if they did decide to pair Brenda with one of Julia's exes to make it less creepy?  Idk, the thought of Brenda/Ned always felt a bit weird to me, but I don't know how serious the show was really considering it.

I really think Julia being in the bigamy story over Katherine would have added so much more drama and conflict.  Katherine was always the bad guy, but if you bring Brenda's sister in as the 3rd wheel there is instantly conflict with Brenda, Lois, Sonny, Ned, Julia, the Q's that Katherine just didn't bring.  Everyone just hated her lol.  It might have been difficult to dig Julia out of that situation without her coming off looking bad though.

You're not alone, lol.

Granted, I wasn't watching GH everyday at that point, because my 2 pm (CST) viewing time was split between GL and SaBa, but I did watch semi-regularly; and what I saw of Jenny, I found to be incredibly dull.  Even the retcon with Senator Kensington, or whatever his name was, was just so dull.

Exactly.  Jenny isn't an awful person or anything, she's just boring and wishy washy.  She either creates silly problems for herself or just lets things happen to her and waits for some man to save her.  She obviously was attractive, but she didn't have any stand out personality traits that would make me believe men would be fighting over her.

Okay, this isn't my exact reaction whenever the conversation drifts back to Jenny, but it's close ...

No, but in all seriousness, I wish they would have hung onto Dawn a little longer rather than try again with another short-lived young female.

    • The whole town gushing over John Black as if he was a saint is eye rolling.  I guess death really colors people's memories over his many flaws, but I guess that is normal and human nature. I'm still confused as to why Leo hasn't been written out.  The actor stank up two soaps with his sub par acting, what does he have on TPTB's to remain on these soaps.   What's the point of Cat?  I hope the new head-writers figure out her purpose and develop her character. And I much prefer scenes not focusing on John's death because life does go on for the world when someone passes.
    • Wasn't there a break in Zaslow's first run? I thought Roger was off-screen for a while, and when Zas came back, Roger was hiding at the boarding house and Nola figured out there was something hinkey about him. I'm pretty sure Simon chose to leave the first time and was replaced by RVV. I don't want to assume Jordan's issues played a role in his first departure, but Maeve said in an interview that at some point, it became very hard for her to work with him and she asked to work with him less. That seems to fit 1986, where suddenly Vanessa is essentially Ross' law clerk and not at every Lewis family moment.
    • He needs to divorce her arse with her constant cheating.   She's no better than Doug... she's F*cking pathetic.
    • I didn't know of any interruptions for Maeve Kinkead after her 1997 return. Her runs would then be 1981-1987, 1989-1996, 1997-2000, short arcs until the end. I knew Maureen Garrett second run was interrupted from a 2009 interview but I couldn't recall the exact year. Her runs would then be 1976-1980, 1988-2000, short arcs until the end.
    • As I said in May, I have no problem with Martin and Bradley being married. You can still do all the fun introloper storylines with them as you do everyone else. Both men of a certain age, and it is very believable for them to have either a first love or have been previously married. And, you can do it without either of them cheating!

I said something similar during the premiere week. Bill was the perfect age to play Martin as Vernon and Anita's child. I would've much preferred this version, but oh well.
    • I don't know how you want to count Maeve. She "retired" in '00, but would come back for appearances. I don't know however if she made an appearance in '01 or '03. In '02 I believe she came back for Josh and Reva's wedding. I assume she came back when Gina Tognoni took over the role of Dinah. And I know she was back for Ross' memorial service. Maureen Garrett was around until at least '00. I don't think Holly was in town when Ben returned though. I just got pissed off about Jerry all over again.
    • So, pretty sure Zaslow, Garrett, Kinkead, and Newman all chose to leave the first time. (If that's wrong, please correct me). Bernau - not sure why he left the first time. Was it voluntary? Or did they decide to write him out? They were writing so many out during that time period. It always seemed odd to me that they introduced Alex, FINALLY giving him someone he could talk to, and then he was written out. Or maybe that's why they made Alex his sister, so she could take his place as the head of the Spaulding family? Would love more intel on that if anyone knows. Simon - was he replaced by RVV? Or did he voluntarily leave the first time? It seems to me like one of those times TPTB decided to sex up or glamorize a character (and it clearly flopped). If he was fired, interesting he came back. Again, would love if someone could spill the tea. Clarke - I've always assumed he left because of his personal issues, but not sure if that was the case the first time.
    • So Doug just leaves Vanessa there with Joey? He's a f*cking loser. Vanessa needs to divorce his arse
