As a Finn, I find it fascinating that B&B actually planned their very very first outside US location shoot to be in Finland instead of Lake Como!

Source is old Finnish tabloid called Iltalehti (The Evening Magazine) issue March 17, 1997. John C. Zak was supposed to arrive to Finland (and I quess Lapland mostly) to scout different ”exotic” locations. The remote was supposed to be in June 1997 but according to the article there was not enough investers at Finland’s end to participate financially for the location shoot. I don’t know what was the situation financially with Lake Como next autumn but B&B’s first outside US location would have defitely been in Finland at least before Lake Como. If the Finnish location shoot would have worked, I am not sure would there be Lake Como but maybe… hope I explained this understandable way 😅 Finland was first in the list since local promoter had bring many of the stars of the show to our country.

IIRC, B&B location shoots in its first decade were Queen Mary (1989), St. Thomas (1992), Catalina (1993), Barbados (1996), Lake Como (1997).

Can you please add all of the location shoots, if you have that info. I have forgotten all about them. I mean all... from the beginning till now. Thank you in advance. Only if it's not a nuisance.

The gap between VL and the youtube videos is getting slimmer and slimmer... and by the time it fills up, the youtube channel will be in 2004. If they continue. Which means... the show is going to be complete in English in just half a year. Maybe a little more, but very soon. How exciting. I think this is the only 4 decade soap opera that's going to be available from day 1 till recent episodes to watch in entirety.

Even if the YouTube channel bridges the gap, there will still be plenty of episodes that they've skipped right through to Season 22. Truly great to have most of the episodes available in English, nonetheless, but a complete series in English, I am not so sure.

The key will be the channel continuing on and replacing all the episodes in HD quality which would hopefully replace these random missing episodes up and through to Season 22.

I can add any missing episodes with edits using GOOD video from german source and bearable audio from the english source.  Most of their missed episodes so far are from 2001 and 2002. We thankfully have them in the bad quality english versions. I think it will be like 99.9 percent complete in the end... which is amazing. I am hopeful! :)
