I always assumed it was due to different parental guidelines in both countries. In the USA, it's officially not appropriate for children under 14, whereas in Poland it's 12.

The Italian end credits music is just BEAUTIFUL, such sad/melancholic music. I could just listen to it all day. As for the voice actors, so incredibly well done. Loved being there for months in the 90s on holidays. The woman who voiced Stephanie was just as brilliant as Susan Flannery.

I couldn't get used to hearing different voices, but the woman who voiced Caroline was my favourite one.
