I know we are in an era where slut-shaming is a no-no, but I would love to see a list of how many men each of Brooke and Taylor slept with, and who actually wins! I really think it might actually be Taylor!

It would be TV gold if Brooke drew up a list in episodes to come, and determined Taylor as the "winner".

You have to laugh when you listen to Taylor's letter to Ridge, telling him about her betrayal, that her "making love" to James might have been her last act on this Earth.  Sure, that makes it all better darling!

I don't watch the current show but since when is Hope the trampy one? I thought that was Steffy. Seems a bit rich of Steffy to act all high and mighty, lording it over others when she herself has a questionable record.

Not that I want to go there but the prevailing narrative is that Bradley ruined the character and made her stoop to Brooke's level because he hated Taylor's character so much. Much of that era is largely ignored by a certain fanbase.

I agree!

One point of difference is that Taylor never slept with unavailable men, whereas Brooke chased after unavailable attached men. Seems like a valid argument which I won't argue with. Brooke did try and split up Ridge and Taylor which was wrong. But Ridge himself is also largely to blame as well.

The day that would happen is when Thudleys slimy hands are no longer writing those scripts!

I haven’t seen those episodes yet, just for the reason that they will just piss me off more than I already am now! Lol

Steffys behavior towards Hope circa 2010-2013 was atrocious, and was never called out the way it should be. Stephanie and Taylor all but cheered on Steffy for acting that way which I think was the ultimate new low….ill never forgive Brad for not revisiting any of Steffys antics of this time.

Really?? To me he caters towards the “Logan haters” or else everything we complain about re: Taylor and Steffys past never being brought up wouldn’t be an issue…

I think he currently is obsessed with JMW and really wants to play up the “namesake” role, with her acting like an angry 70 something matriarch, which is the wrong way to go and  again doesn’t work with someone with Steffys history. Brooke should be the one constantly checking and getting in Steffys face since she’s older now, yet it’s not written that way at all….so I don’t think Thudley is a “Logan Lover” but any means.

Let's face it, Thudley loves to troll everyone through absurd, nonsensical writing. It's been this way for over 30 years. He is totally unserious as a writer and doesn't care if the stories lack cohesion, logic or continuity. Everything goes in circles. No one ever learns from their mistakes. Hypocrisy is the formula.

These people that are bashing KKL on youtube and saying things like that...that she does favors for him... actually deserve a lawsuit to drop on their door-steps. How dare they?

And I completely agree with the statement that Steffy was vile circa 2010... to even circa 2018. She was written as the home-wrecker and boyfriend stealer and the one with the more uncontrolled sexuality. Hope was the prude and the one that was written that she couldn't satisfy her men. The storylines the gave Steffy were storyline types Brooke was rocking in the late 1990s.

This sudden 180 Steffy character turned into a more PG 13 version of her grandma is something I've been ranting about for months. Bradley is acting like his viewers haven't seen  the show pre-2021. He really does at times. So yes it does seem absurd that they are slut shaming Hope of all people, but at least Rebecca is bringing it acting wise and that's a huge positive I can get from it.

I don't think anyone has doubted Rebecca Budig's abilities, but that still doesn't make her a suitable choice for Taylor. She's a perfectly competent actress, but completely miscast. Which is a shame, because she could definitely have been a great asset to the show, but she's put in an impossible situation, simply because Brad Bell can not think creatively if his life depended on it. Instead he just circles back to what he knows, which is a triangle that overstayed its welcome 25 years ago.

    • GM is adorable, charming and fun onscreen despite months of nothing to do until recently, and has a bodacious bod. I'm not cosigning the show or this story - I haven't watched a full episode in over a month - but I think we're all taking the small victories in 2025 at this point. I'm open to testing this theory!
    • I think Jason might've posted some numbers for the syndication a while ago and the numbers for Falcon Crest was horrible. Like 1.5 rating or something, which was terrible.    ETA: it was actually Paul Raven:   New to syndication 60 min Fall Guy 67 markets 3.1/8 Falcon Crest 110 markets 1.1/5 To get into the top 40, you needed a 4.6/9 rating for reference - and Falcon Crest managed to get into a lot of markets to begin with. In the fall of 1985 Dynasty, Dallas and Knots were syndicated (show / rating / share / coverage % / markets): Dallas 3.4 10 51.7 92 Dynasty 3.4 10 48.7 47  Knots Landing 3.3 10 12.5 20  So, Knots as an example trippled Falcon Crest's rating with 20 markets - I'm sure those were major ones but it just goes to show you how much Falcon Crest bombed in syndication.
    • It's not bad but the stories move too slow. It's the same problem when Dan O'Connor was CO-HW with Van Etten, they have a million stories and they all drag on endlessly with no resolution. I'd argue the majority of the stories airing now are good but you get sick of waiting months for something to happen.
    • Thanks. I must have missed that period entirely for Lifetime.
    • Thanks. I know Marland did that type of thing sometimes but it's less likely with these characters. I don't even remember Alex ever mentioning him.
    • French fan summary Rusty took over Simon's job at Lewis Trucking after Simon transferred to Lewis Oil's North Carolina office to live near Jessie and Calla. I doubt they would bother following up a story for offscreen characters eg marriage and a baby.
    • I suspected that the performance with the reveal was the reason why the Ted actor got the axe and it looks like I was right. He wasn't really good at conveying what needed to be conveyed in those scenes. Claybon is at least slowly improving (but I agree that he still needs to work on his line delivery), but I do wonder what will happen when his big reveal is coming up.
    • I've already asked this before, recently, but can anyone who watched those years more closely tell me if anything said about Jessie and Simon at the end of their profiles is accurate (about them marrying, naming a baby after Brandon/Lujack, etc.)?
    • Nicole is way too smart to not know she was carrying twins - she's a doctor! My guess is that Leslie did abort her baby out of fear, and as payback, stole Ted and Nicole's child (Eva), and stole Kat from another family to replace her in the hospital.
    • Those Soap Central profiles have a lot of incorrect info. According to SOD summaries and the Daytime Newsletter of the time,Tim left town for a new job and Pam reunited with the father of her baby and also departed Springfield. They did not marry.
