AMC: Who should or will return for the final months

Taking into consideration the time and money issues...I'd be okay with "recent" returns, meaning people who have been on the show recently and didn't make their last appearance on the show 15 years ago. Adam, Brooke, Jamie, Joe, Ruth, Hayley, Mateo, Nina, Daisy, Peter, Greg, maybe stretch it a bit and include Mark, Tom, and Livia. All of them would have something to do upon their return. NO GHOSTS!!

Is it too much to ask for ABC to give us some kind of retrospective over the summer? Damn.

If they had any decency they would air it during the View's timeslot especially considering the show is going on hiatus. They could do a 5 part event with the first 4 episodes tackling each of the 4 decades. The 5th episode would be a couch style gathering of the current cast with Kelly Ripa moderating an interview style retrospective and reflection similar to what Soaptalk used to do. Again the View is going dark so theres NOTHING to stop ABC from doing this.

That would be awesome, but I meant something for primetime, like how they did the Carol Burnett thing years ago. As a matter of fact, they can do the week-long thing in The View's slot, then they can repeat the interview thing with Kelly on that Friday night. I just want them to do something that allows AMC to step outside of daytime for one more night. I refuse to believe that the ratings would be that much lower than Shark Tank's 4 and a half million viewers.

The week-long retrospective would be perfect because not eeeeeverybody can return to the actual show, but we still want that last chance to see all the flashbacks and clips and what-not, maybe some brief interviews with former cast members, etc. It'd be awesome to see all of the surviving original cast members together.

We'll be lucky if AMC or OLTL gets a promo for the final week(s). "Tune in next week, for five days that will CHANGE PORT CHARLES FOREVER!!!! (Oh yeah, some show called "All My Children"'s sayin' goodbye, too.)"

Monday: 1970-1979

Tuesday: 1980-1989

Wednesday: 1990-1999

Thursday: 2000-2009

Friday: 2010-2011. Current cast members, tribute to Agnes Nixon and an overall wrap up of the entire event. They could also show results of fan voted favorites from an online ABC poll. Favorite couple, story, character, villian, etc...

Each day would feature smaller interviews from former cast members whom had important story/made their debuts in those decades

Q: "What's going to happen to Ford?"

A: "Uh...well, I think they're a good company. I think they'll find great success in the future. It'll be hard to move past the Edsel, but I won't count 'em out yet." *RC whispers in her ear, her eyes widen, she chuckles* "Oh, dear, I don't even know who that is!"

Here's the question, let's say you're Melissa, -- Would you be forgiven for not posting about Bo & Hope's anniversary today on social media because you didn't include the number of years that either of them were assumed dead in the last 40 years?
    • I am no Bo/Hope fan girl, but I think the ages were about 18/22.  It was more Doug finding Hope in a comprising position with Bo that gave him a heart attack lol.
    • Never forget, as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Bo and Hope, that their age gap was so wide it gave OG Doug a heart attack.
    • Doug can legally order drinks and has since he arrived so I assume he's like 22 or 23.  A little too old to be creeping on Holly, but they are all graduating or graduated (Ari) so it's not the worst.
    • I just think with high schoolers, you have to establish the age of their romantic interest.  Otherwise, it can get really creepy.  If Doug was 19-20, I would've enjoyed his poetry/books discussion with Holly because on paper, it was actually pretty good.
    • I am glad Ned gets some say.  I don't really understand why he was left out of this decision.  We have no evidence that Ned wouldn't have 100% supported Brook's choice. I can understand leaving Sonny and Olivia out of this if BLQ didn't want to reveal Dane was the dad, but Ned should have been in the loop. Yes, Donna is the most adorable child in the world.   An unnecessary Sonny/Carly child, but adorable AF.   Justice for Avery though.  Where was she?
    • Peyton Meyer is 26, but I'm telling myself Doug's about 21, since all the actors in his group (Tate/Holly/Arianna/Sofia) are all a few years older than their characters. Actually, Leo Howard is a decade older than Tate! Still not the greatest optics, but still much more tolerable.
    • Michael coming back and taking his son home was a great cliffhanger......however, my number one pet-peeve on soaps is episode-to-episode continuation.  How in the world could the writers not show us Gio/Brooklyn/Lois?? I was so bummed by that.  Is Scarlett Spears (Donna) not just the cutest little girl? Those dimples!  She was so adorable with her performance.
    • If he's younger, he is very precocious when it comes to loan sharking, prison, and poetry.  I wonder if he is meant to be younger than Javi?
    • That was another thing was surprised me in a good way. Having a teenage character hook up with a total stranger on her second episode?  Wow. We don't often see that.  But to have it happen with Diddler-Doug? This is now the second girl he's gone after who's still in high school.  In my mind, Diddler-Doug is in his mid 20's, unless the show has established that he's not?
