Days has so many Hortons who should be around

Everytime they make an effort to boost the Hortons, they mess it up eg Jeremy and Nathan Horton,Nick Fallon.

There have been a couple of times when I've been watching a scene with Viki and one of her pain in the ass children and wondered what it would be like if we cut over to Ed and Carla's home across town and had a scene of her dealing with one of her own pain in the ass kids or grandkids. I wish that family would have thrived on the show and we'd be treated to tender scenes of Carla telling her grandbabies about their great-grandmother Sadie, maybe even a story where Ed calls Carla out because she's overcompensating by putting her dark-skinned granddaughter on a pedestal while her light-skinned sister/first cousin feels like she's getting the shaft from grandma. If this was back in the '80s we could have even had Tisha and Tichina in those roles while they were still in NY before hitting it big, but now I'm really dreaming.

Generally speaking, if soaps are winding down like we keep hearing every other spumor, I'd like to see more returns from legacy characters than bringing on a bunch of new people. Whenever a show has been cancelled they of course always do that final cast photo and I guess it's just my issue but I think it always detracts when you see a bunch of newbie randoms in the pic.

+1 I love this!

I agree, Paul. The two I feel should be own right now is Sarah Horton & Scotty Banning. Another Legacy Character Days should have beeeeeen brought back was Dougie Leclair (Doug's son).

AMC: Charlie Brent; Peter Cortlandt; Tim Dillon; Sam Grey; Kelsey Jefferson; Jamie Martin; Bonnie McFadden; Bobby and Michael Warner; Molly and Sean Montgomery; Emily Ann Sago

OLTL: Kevin (Riley) Buchanan; Sami Garretson; Joshua Hall; Al Holden (even if he is, you know, dead and all); Tina Lord Roberts (since she is, after all, the daughter of Victor Lord and Irene Manning); Sarah and C.J. "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" Roberts, Dan Wolek

I love that your OLTL list have a wolek, haven't seen them in years and they are one of the first families!

I think AMC should have Julie Chandler on as well! She has ties to three of the major families: The Chandlers, The Kanes, and the Cortlandts! She is a true legacy character!

The Hospital on GH.

Yes, Agreed!

Yup, Julie Chandler. That's such a no brainer, I don't know why they haven't brought her back. I think she left to go to law school. She could come back and work with Liza or Caleb or Jack.

Days has always been good about treating their legacy characters well as when it comes time to cast the younger set, they tend to tie them to the older crowd. Either bringing back SORASED kids or creating new children for characters that have long since left. I wish the ABC soaps did this more often bc there are far too many legacy children which have gone ignored. Here are some that come to mind

AMC: Maddie, Sam, Jamal,

OLTL: Sarah, CJ, Max's twins, Danny Wolek

GH: Tommy Hardy, Serena, Christina Baldwin, Dillon's sister,

DAYS: Shawn Douglas Brady, Belle Black Brady, Jeremy Horton, David Banning (He's older but maybe he can bring on a child or something. It's a shame they've forgotten about Julie's son.)

Mackenzie Browning-Hellstrom

Nate Hastings (permanently)

Keemo Voilen-Abbott

Scotty Grainger

Brock Reynolds

Todd Williams

Fenmore Baldwin

Reed Hellstrom

Every other legacy kid Y&R has killed off (Colleen, Eve, Cassie), pretty much ruined (Phillip, Heather, Victoria, Adam, Ronan, Patty, Billy, Devon, Nick, Lily, Daniel) or are currently in the process of ruining (Chance, Chloe, Noah, Ricky, Kyle, Abby).

Dee, who is Eve?

I agree, Michael. I always thought the actor that played Stan on Days a few years ago should have been Eric.

Dan Wells.

Same here! Though I guess it would've been a little weird to have Eric show up looking just like how Sami did in her disguise... but now that like 5-6 years have passed, I don't think it would be a bad thing.
