Okay, so I've seen Dorothy Lyman in the role and I have seen Jill Larson since day one. Ms. Lyman was pretty damn entertaining, and I was wondering would any AMC fan love to see her come back and play Tad's mama, or at this point is Jill Larson pretty much the actress best associated with Opal?

I think I remember. It happened around the time when Opal was transforming herself so she would get noticed by Palmer. Opal was getting her hair done at the Glamorama. Erica was there too. She asked Erica for tips on how to be more refined. I believe Opal even prefaced it by first saying something like, "I know we were never close before but..."

Oooh, I loves it! I knew that Lyman's Opal and Erica were never close, and I have no memory of when Jill's Opal and Erica connected, so this is a treat. I wish this was on YouTube.

Thanks for posting that Carl, that's the interview I was talking about earlier if anyone's confused. It's reprinted online somewhere, didn't realize it was from SOD. Ever since I read it I was confused by Dorothy saying she was doing a "Beverly Hills" accent but I now see that that was a misprint, Hillbillies.

Heres a very early clip of Jill as Opal. She's a bit rough and over the top. I can definetly see they were having her try and emulate Dorothy's Opal here as she comes across alot more country and trailer trashish than Opal of today and the 90s. I find her more annoying than anything but she definetly got better when she made the role her own. Oh and whats up with all that hair? Did she really wearing a big ol hairpiece during her first year? It looks so fake
