Plus, JB has people like LA Reid behind him. People just don't take him seriously right now because he's a teen idol with a squeaky voice and a weird hairdo. That and the fact that he is/was a precocious child and I cannot stand precocious children. Age will hopefully take care of that. So what's Streisand supposed to be doing?
