The ever confusing younger actor categories where 25 year olds duke it out with 5 year olds. 

Kathleen Widdoes did have some lead material that year with Ned Simon's death, but I'm surprised she got a lead nomination.

Anyone looking for information on actress Betty Low, the Temporary Nancy Hughes McCloskey, it can be lound in Soap Hoppers on page 442.

So many recurring/bit players in so many stories. Marland mostly managed to make it work but when they tried to keep on in 93/94 with this format they just couldn't.

If Marland had lived I do think, brain damage or not, he would have had Holden as a loving father to Aaron. The decision to have Holden ignore his son after taking him from Iva and even spending far more time with his girlfriend's son, was horrendously damaging to Holden as a character.

I never noticed how much Marcy looked like Lyla.

Just to clarify---Harley didn't lure Dylan down to the Keys. He went after Reva suffered some kind of medical issue due to the medication for her post-partum depression. Dylan was on parole, and couldn't go until Billy persuaded his parole officer to let him.

Reva (back to suffering PPD unnoticed) then arranged for Sam to come down as a surprise for Dylan.

I missed that. I had an after school job and only had SOD to help with some of the episodes I missed. I don't know how I thought what I thought. Thanks!

I can't remember if there was ever an Our Private World thread here. 

I'm still amazed at how poorly they handled what should have been a success, although it would have made more sense as a daytime soap, not primetime.

Yes there is an OPW thread.

In addition to other factors that contributed to the show's failure, there was also BTS management changes at CBS, so those in favor of OPW may have been ousted.

No problem! SOD recaps always leave a lot to be desired. The early ones read like a cheap novel, and the later ones will ignore stories points deemed "unimportant". I only know this so well because it's also around the time Billy proposes to Vanessa. In fact, Dylan has taken Bill for the night so Billy can have some "alone time" with Van. Dylan and Bill don't exactly interrupt---but Billy and Van's night is cut a little short when they bring news of Reva's medical crisis.

fred silverman, (then head of cbs daytime) told me that president of cbs, james aubrey, was fond of irna (and according to silverman, the feeling was mutual) and green lit opw. 

in february 1965, aubrey was fired details here, replaced by john schneider and opw got lost in the shuffle.

It figures that Irna Phillips and the man they called "the Smiling Cobra" would've made a connection, lol.
