Well, what do those four have in common?wink.png

I thought tonight's was another good episode and I find in hindsight the story is starting to be strong enough where I am able to enjoy the show even without much of a nostalgia factor. JR and Sue Ellen were barely in it, but the story held my interest anyway. The weakest link is not the young people, it is Ann. Unless it turns out her child is actuallly someone we know, I don't see the point.

So Im guessing Ann is Christopher's biological mother?

I dont like how John keeps calling Veronica Marta when he knows thats not her name and the secret has been out

Not used to seeing Lucy look so old

Gary mention! Id love it if he made an appearance. What about Ray Krebs though. He never got any shares in Southfork?

The quad is sooo good on paper and has real potential but the casting of Elena ruins it for me. She has no chemistry with either man and I cant tell if she is supposed to be the heroine bc early on I got more vixen like vibes from her and she just doesnt seem right for the part. Its hard to root for her. I do kinda feel for Rebeca though. PS, hate her brother

Is Linda Gray on contract? She's barely on and isnt featured in as many episodes as the other vets

Um does ANYONE know?

No, Kristen and J.R. had an affair. Bobby thought the baby was JR's and brought him home to Southfork. Pam saw him and thought Bobby arranged a private adoption (she had two miscarriages and was desperate for a baby). Bobby didn't have the heart to tell her the truth. J.R. found out and blackmailed Bobby. Turns out the baby was by a drug dealer named Jeff Fairday. In a way it's odd that Sue Ellen rarely mentioned that Chris is her biological nephew.

I was thinking the same thing Julia. A little surprised that the Kristen/Christopher/Sue Ellen/Who Shot Jr.? connection hasn't gotten an expository work in for newer viewers. Meanwhile, I light up whenever Sue Ellen pops up on screen. Her onscreen presence is strong, strong s/l or not.

I got mini-excited when John Ross mentioned Gary to Lucy then remembered how TS turned down the offer. Then my brain started doing pretzels when Rebecca was revealed to be having twins, but she's obviously not Betsy.

It seems like it should be an easy enough matter to clear up IF the killers didn't know about the video camera - the camera proves that she was alive when John Ross left.

I was distracted by my children when I was watching, but the two men who headed to Marta's room - one of them looked vaguely like the same guy who was working with Cliff, the Pakistani guy JR had Bum researching. Am I seeing things, or was that him? If so, that would be an interesting twist.

Meanwhile, how in the hell could John Ross be blamed for this when he was obviously in the elevator on his way down when she landed? Couldn't a quick check of the security tapes resolve that?

Yeah, and wasn't the baby in the pic a little girl? I'm not sure. At any rate, that's kind of a lame/weak/obvious twist, imo. I hope it's something less obvious and juicier than that.

    • Well I'm always here for people singing my song when it comes to the New/Old writers. lol.  Same.   Also same.
    • I got the feeling she's always been slightly too flirty with him?  But this brings up a comment I've had whenever I see Vanessa with these weird men (or was this one we've seen before) who she has role play sex hijinks with...  They always just come off as plain bizarre.  This guy followed her in the middle of the day to a cafe?  The dialogue always seems like they want to push the boundaries too with what they can say but then just comes off as incredibly weird (something about what she did with her foot?) And oh yes, let's go to an underground/backroom casino to try to raise money for our new upstart agency? I hate to say it, and I didn't catch the writers for this episode, but I felt this was another episode like some past ones where the dialogue throughout sounded off and not natural--and too filled with references and metaphors that maybe looked nice on paper but not so much when people say them. (Oh and random--why cast a day actor as a surgeon for a tiny scene and then reveal in the next hospital scene that he can't do it because of a family emergency?  Just... kinda weird.)
    • Oh, lord. I was hoping that Doug would be in June's surgery for a while. Now I'm afraid that she's going to run right into Dani and Pamela.
    • The shirtless scenes increased under Nicholson as EP with Quinn, Hogan etc. They had focused on Steve Kendall under Joanna Lee in 1983 but not much bare skin on SFT overall.  Louanne was a terrible recast. And don't get me started on Pam Long's horrible final six months as head writer with the Ireland plot and the convoluted Judge Henderson plot. I watched it daily until the end and cannot summarize either plot.
    • Running in late and a bit out of order cuz yesterday was a mess but since I'm here...   So far I am liking that there are a lot of hotties and bubbles on display. lol.   A lot of plot is moving and/or being touched on. Right down to ANOTHER of Vanessa's many men. He was cute and bubbled, too.    So far, I'm not feeling SilkPress vs NuTed.
    • I am really struggling with all this Dante Doesn't Like Gio stuff. Would Gio be engaged in this many conversations about how angry Dante is with him? It's overboard and forced beyond belief. I get it. The writers want to create friction between Gio and Dante before the paternity reveal. I just think it should be much more natural and organic. GH has had MANY MONTHS to create this drama, and instead woke up and said "We gotta go at this hard, because we're out of time."
    • These episodes Mitch S. is uploading. Numerous male actors performed their scenes without a shirt. While John Conboy started the trend, it seems that "Search" picked up where Conboy left off. On another note, Louan Gideon seems to be on everyday in the episodes Mitch S. is uploading. It must have been a letdown when she had no storyline in the final months of "Search" after Jacquline Shultz became David Forsythe's new leading lady. Even Marcia McCabe had a storyline those final months. But Louan had nothing to do once Hogan was paired up with Patti.
    • Sarah was an adopted/foster child.  The age difference between Michelle Joyner and Jackie Schultz would’ve been an issue. But I disagree with all the Women to Watch victims being sacrificed (and Suzi later).    Joe Lambie (Lloyd) was way too young to have fathered the OG Steve and Michael Kendall. We never got to see all four sons on the show at once.  That recast Steve was a joke, although I think we know why Steve Lundquist’s Speedo was cast…
