Thom Bierdz tweeted that he’s back on Aug. 26, writing, “and there will be many emotions going on from many characters!” Does that mean Coop dies? Let’s hope.

Why the hell is it that the soap press(not just Branco) made such a fuss over Y&R killing Colleen because she was a legacy character yet, they are perfectly fine with killing Chance(and to an extent Mac) off?

Neither should be killed off, but I guess it's because more people saw Colleen actually growing up with two prior competent actresses before she met her horrific demise at the hands of very bad writing (and a crappy final actress).

Chance, on the other hand, has been bland and vanilla since his introduction, and Driscoll hasn't helped that.

Soap Opera Digest made me spit out my glowworm when the mag printed a picture of Joshua Morrow and Lauralee Bell kissing as Nick and Cricket. Seriously. WTF? I guess we’ll have to tune in to find out what this mess is all about.

This is the WTF tidbit to me. Glad I'm not watching this...

Branco probably needs another interview with Rauch and Maria...

So how long until Nick says Cassie wants him to nail Christine, since she saved Daniel during the murder trial?

• Sara A. Bibel recently chatted with Eileen Davidson about her new career as a soap opera novelist. Here’s a dishy excerpt:

Do you feel any rivalry with the former Y&R actress who also has written a novel about daytime?

Are you talking about Victoria Rowell?

Yeah.

I don’t have any desire to be mean-spirited [in my books.] I just don’t. I love everyone I work with.

Yeah ok whatever. I've read Death in Daytime (ED's first book), and there is an allusion to a rivalry that was recently discussed on this board.

yet, they are perfectly fine with killing Chance(and to an extent Mac) off?

Cause the soap press (as usual) doesn't want to deal with the real issues.

“I’ve been relegated to the back of the opening credits. Any further back and I’ll be on One Life to Live!”

—GH’s Nancy Lee Grahn on Twitter

This woman is a trip. She forgets how her buddies Jill, Frons and Guza pushed Jackie Zeman, Leslie Charleson and Kristina Wagner aside and tried to annoint her--a presence challenged supporting actress on her best day--as the star of GH.

"Greetings everyone. What a storyline we just started for OLTL/Clint. Family in-fighting, dirty play, a new romance and a new employee at Buchanan Enterprises. Plus some bombshell casting news. Love, jvd."

After reading this quote on this weeks One Life page from JvD(via MontyB, thank you for the interview excerpt)I started thinking about who this bombshell casting person could be. After reading Nelsons Suds Report about Kim Zimmer possibly returning to daytime I have to wonder, could La Zimmer be on her way back to Llanview????????

I don't think that Frons will care about hiring any 50+ woman on his shows in a major role. At best it would be a filler stint and I can't even see it being that and I'm not sure if Kim would accept that, since she apparently turned down that wretched role of Jo Jo on Y&R last year.

Well some are hoping for Liz Keifer but I doubt that will happen.

Knowing what passes for great casting these days, probably Kim Osnach.
