Thats not gonna happen, i dont tink. She quit, as far as i know. Although, back when alexa left amc lauren read for the role, how she lost to amanda baker is.... i just dont know.

And yes, wrong former actress. I cant think of who it is now, either, and it is going to bother me. She was a young actress on a soap at the start of last decade, left, quit acting, went back to college and got her law degree. It is in a sod i have from a few years ago. I should dig it out and look.

I didn't even know they implied in scripts. Not surprised to learn this was cut out.
I agree the prostitute origin wasn't needed, as Mac didn't seem to care. I guess at this time the show was trying so hard to keep that organized crime story going.
It would have been more of a twist to learn Mac had been a prostitute in his early years, to survive, and have this come out in a tell-all. Imagine Iris' reaction...

I do think in the short run he usurped Jamie's place on the canvas, which they addressed somewhat in story, but I don't think they went far enough in a real rivalry between them (as you said, Jamie had long moved on from Blaine and was disgusted by Cecile). In the long run, Sandy didn't hurt Jamie - both characters were left behind.
When I initially read about Sandy's origins I did wonder if they might have implied he was gay-for-pay, or bi, but of course in soapland male escorts never have sex with men (this continues on soaps today - most recently Neighbours).

I think at the beginning of his storyline, TPTB planned to write Sandy as straight-ish, but willing to prostitute himself with either men or women -- anything for money. But by the time the scripts got to broadcast, all the male references had been removed, or at least severely softened.
Frankly, there was no real need to make Mac Cory's illegitimate son a prostitute at all. Being Mac Cory's illegitimate son was scandalous enough, without the escort/prostitute accouterments. Can you imagine if Iris had still been in Bay City during the Sandy reveal? Oh Lord, her reactions to an illegitimate brother would have been priceless!!

I don’t see how you guys think Vanessa is playing Joey. She got pathetically drunk and wimpy at Winterfest just because Joey wouldn’t claim her.
I have seen nothing in her behavior that doesn’t suggest she’s madly in love with this man to the point she doesn’t care that everyone sees them. The respected realtor went from married to a doctor to publicly being with the known town Mobster. I find the coupling gross not to mention we don’t seem to be getting anywhere close to her finding out he killed Doug. Which honestly at this point with her behavior I don’t even think she’ll care.

Coming from a person that barely even likes Lulu, it's maddening. Two people used her eggs without her consent and presented her with children and when she tries to be a good mother and parent them she looks bad. Frank really hates the Spencers.
Yes, Charlotte should absolutely be allowed to leave school, her family, her house, and her stability to go on the run with Papa.
And, yes, Rocco should move into Britt's one room at Kelly's that Jason pays for because he's curious about his incubator.

Sorry, I forgot to mention this last month. But Thanksgiving came and went with no sign of Anita's female impersonator from Las Vegas -- Thankfully. Remember back in early October, Anita had been talking on the phone with the impersonator and had invited her to Thanksgiving dinner with the Duprees. Dear God in Heaven, I was dreading that visit from Hell. The last thing Beyond the Gates needed within its first year was a silly campy doppelgänger invading the Dupree family, and attempting to take over Anita's life. I'm assuming we are far enough out from Thanksgiving to safely say that did not happen. Fingers crossed.

I just cannot believe Frank is deliberately and consciously tanking Alexa Havins. Because it is deliberate.
Only on this show would Lulu be painted as the unreasonable shrew for not wanting her children around a) Britt, the banned-from-Tinder embryo thief with personal ties to multiple superterrorists, and b) Valentin the Inseminator, the bug-eating attic tróll of Cassadine Island who took possession of her eggs and mixed himself up the little girl from Species.
(Really? We're bleeping the entire word like it's an obscenity now? That doesn't make board tr*lls not exist.)

Lulu could be abrasive and brash, but this is just not fun to watch. It doesn’t help that both of these kids are from violations, because people like Ron Carlivati don’t understand or write actual women very well. The fact they are also both in stories where those kids want the attention of their mother’s violators and the show wants us to side with Valentin and Britt is also not helping.
I am so disappointed in this show right now. The fact that I have to deal with Valentin, Britt, Nathan, and now Brad all back when we had finally moved on from them. If Roger Howarth were not on contract at Y&R I would be expecting a return announcement any day now. The show has slowed to a crawl and every single bad instinct that Valentini had leaned into for years are almost all back strangling the vitality from the show. I expect another precocious kid group to be back in action again soon.
