Soaps need to go back to just doing promos for products right there on set, in character. Sadly, its been done a lot. Cheerios, Tylenol, and a few others must have deals because they are also all seen in the background. Dr Pepper too, i think. I dont mind it. I mean, if it helps the show... and honestly, at these these companies are investing in soaps. I am sure it could be done better, but im always amused when they do it. Members Cheap21 Posted July 5, 2010 Members Share Posted July 5, 2010 Showing them in the background or camera shots isnt so bad or obvious, but when they have the characters actually start reciting words taken straight out of a commercial, I have to roll my eyes. I remember on AMC and OLTL a year or 2 ago, they went overboard with Campbell's soup promotion. At least that was kinda worked into the storyline of the show as both were doing Go Red charity events.
