When was the last time Opal shared a scene with Ryan? For someone who loves pimping him out, as if they're best buddies or something, she sure doesn't interact with him much.

They've shared quite a few scenes together in the last year and a half. She would tell Ryan's fortune...and then comforted him after Greenlee's "death"...and then pimped Erica/Ryan earlier this year by setting them up, etc.

Yea as soon as fans were saying stuff "That's going too far." it wreaked of DK's writing. Writing people out of character is something DK does flawlessly, even though it might not be apparent at first.

Oh, but remember, Michael -- "Character-driven stuff" is what DK and Donna Swajeski love to write...

Somewhere, Agnes Nixon is throwing in the old towel, lol.

I think it's only David who tampers with her plane, from what I've read Greenlee didn't know about it. She was only part of the embezzlement stuff

David Kreizman attempted this same [!@#$%^&*] on GUIDING LIGHT, making Rick Bauer and Phillip Spaulding ultimately responsible for the plane crash that killed Phillip's beloved uncle, Ross Marler.

Why doesn't this surprise me? LOL

I don't think I need to spell it out, but...Kreizman's a hack, lol. All that lip service he pays to honoring history and letting characters dictate story is just that. True, most, if not all, HW's pay lip service to fans these days. Except, for whatever reason, it's more insufferable when it comes from him. (I'm a disgruntled GUIDING LIGHT fan, though, so don't go just by me, lol.) I mean, the guy only knows about soaps, on account of some girl he had a woody for back at the University of Virginia: she was into them, so he, a campus jock (wrestling), started watching them in order to talk to and impress her. Which is both the nerdiest thing ever, and the sleaziest. Either way, I'd hardly equate that with others' deep and abiding passion for this genre.

Honestly, between Erica's plane crash and Damon becoming Pine Valley's answer to Jonathan Randall (ask another GL fan what that means), it's GL's final days all over again. You think JamanDUH are boring? Well, guess what, sports fans - Gus & Harley, whom DK propped at GL at the expense of everyone else, were just as boring, if not more so. And who was the show's reigning heroine and "teen queen"? Tammy Winslow. Considering that Ricky Paull Goldin played Gus, and Stephanie Gatschet played Tammy, do not be shocked if the same happens on AMC, just with different characters. Or, as I suggested upthread, that Tom Pelphrey (ex-Jonathan, GL) is cast as the new Damon, and Dash Riprock is shown the door.

^ME TOO!!! I used to have a huge crush on him... then I started hating JR, and then Jacob got fat...and I was totally disinterested in him. Now, it is BACK ON. Also, I'm totally in love with Annie/JR right now.

Shallow.

What? She's not ghostwriting this? It's Erica, after all!

I haven't seen the ep yet, but i read on another board that on the ending credit's AMC finally took Thorsten Kaye's name off the contract list of members, as well as DC and JM (Canary might have been tooken off earlier, after his final week). TK and DC's contracts ended in April, and JM was there mostly out of respect for his farewell in April, and he also had some stuff in this ep today.

I hope this means they are updating the opening soon

I watched for the Palmer flashbacks and it was really nice. Erica and Palmer were always close and the writers and Susan Lucci did a nice job today with the sentimentality.

Erica, wearing all white in the middle of the woods?

Megan McTavish: "I had nothing to do with that, I swear!"

Intense episode. I loved every minute...this was the best episode of the week, and provided for a great Friday Cliffhanger. That last scene with Erica and the plane hovering around was a great one. I like how the ending sort of went with Palmer's letter that Erica read earlier in the ep, where he told her to be grateful of whats around her and what she has. There Erica was, telling god that she knows how fortunate her life has been and everything, i loved when she said, "please take care of my children" and, "Jack!" at the end. I wonder if that call she made to Bianca got through or didn't? Who knows. Well, i can't wait for Monday to see what happens next.

It's clear that David is the one responsible for the plane crashing, Greenlee has no idea. When she finds out, she is not going to be happy and I'm sure it will be a big obstacle in their marriage as time passes, and the guilt sets in. I really hope they get through it and don't end up breaking up.

Ugh, the butterfly is back. There was SO much Rylee pimping in this episode. ICK.

And as always Cheap, thank you for the screen caps! love them

Marissa to Annie: "Dont test me"

Bitch, please, what the hell are you gonna do?

LMBO! I wish Annie would have said that...I hate how she just listened to Marissa. I was expecting her to say something snarky back, and shoot her down. But yeah seriously, what would Marissa do LOL?

This was the best episode of the week and I can't wait for Monday!

I'm glad Marissa showed some backbone. It looks like her character change will be gradual since she still wants a chance with JR, but if we get some good scenes with her telling Annie off like she did here, I'll be happy.

Shirtless JR+Annie=HOT!

I liked how David tampered with the plane but he thought it would be inspected before takeoff, thus keeping it grounded, so it's not like he meant to cause Erica harm.

Jack pointing out the inconsistencies in David & Greenlee's plot was funny, as was Opal in the park.

Palmer's letter to Erica was just perfect and the flashbacks were great. I know every new writer says they love the show and know the history, but it feels to me that Kreizman/Swajeski really do.
