The disappointed couple is delighted when they find the 25$,000 cash that they need under the Christmas tree, "from Santa." The club is theirs. Happiness is short-lived when the Kellys learn Cec is expected to embark on a year-long, world tour-alone. Cecily wants to stay in Pine Valley; Nico insists that she go. When Travis comments, "I wonder what's more in order, congratulations or pity," Jack denies having marriage on his mind. Finally, Jack is forced to admit, "Damn it, Erica, I love you!" Guests waiting at the church are shocked to see a dirty, sweaty Tad arrive, composed and ready for the wedding. Opal finally arrives, screaming that she wants Tad arrested. Once she's calmed down, Tad and Dix are married. Opal snatches the bouquet from Erica at the reception and Palmer finally gets a pretty good idea of what's after. Tad and Dix honeymoon in Mexico.

AS THE WORLD TURNS:

She fled in a fire; she made a cryptic phone call, saying, "I'm all right. Don't try to find me." No one did, and now she's back, with quite a story to tell. It's Lilly Walsh, or course- she of the hasty marriage to dangerous Derek Mason; she of the fond attachment to the Snyder farm; she of the huge trust fund. That all seems like such a long time ago, Lily says to Iva Snyder, who is put out when Lily doesn't want to wax rhapsodic about the farm anymore. This Lily is ready for new things, like possibly buying out Craig's partnership in Montgomery and associates. She's changed a lot, Lily tells Lucinda. Well, you're not the only one, thinks the media mogul.

CATCHING UP:

Lucinda learns what happened to her daughter after the cottage blew up. Badly burned, Lily escaped to a convent somewhere in the United States. The nuns nursed her back to health and sent her to a surgeon in Switzerland, who reconstructed her face. To pay for the extensive plastic surgery, Lily sold the hotel Lucinda gave her. Lucinda thinks it's a miracle that Lily's returned. She leaves a note for Bianca before running out to shout the news to all of Oakdale. Bianca's things are moved from Lily's room to another room. Tonio tells Bianca that Lucinda will want to get rid of her; she can come back to him anytime she likes.

ANDY GETS THE PICTURE:

Julie hasn't been able to make love with Andy since she started her affair with Tonio. Don't think Andy hasn't noticed. Julie knows he's been nipping from the old bottle, and offers to get out of his life. Andy panics, telling Julie that he has no life without her.

A very awkward situation becomes unbearable for the aspiring model. Tonio gives Julie a check for one thousand dollars and a necklace. Julie tells Andy that she bought the necklace for herself, but it's no use. Andy gets plastered and cancels an open-house party he and Julie were planning to give. Julie tells Tonio she can't leave Andy now.

WHAT TO DO ABOUT ANDY?:

Kim knows something is bothering Andy, but he says flat out that if she doesn't stop pestering him, he will drink. Kim tells Susan and Bob the time has come to tell John about Andy's relapse. Susan is till taking painkillers for her back injury and Bob is concerned , too, that John doesn't find out that she shoved Susan against the ladder which caused the injury, so she writes her a check to fund Susan's research. This check won't stop me from talking, if I want to, Susan tells her flatly.

BROCK'S GUN:

Brock tells Philip that if Bruce Dreyfus is in Oakdale, he'll take care of him. What interests him more are Philip's tapes of the various goings-on in his hotel suite. Brock finds the van where the tapes are are being recorded and he confiscates them Unfortunately, he leaves his gun behind. After the many lies Brock has told him, Philip doesn't feel he can trust his son anymore, but he remains circumspect, telling Brock that he accepts his divorce from Marjorie and his relationship with Emily, to whom Brock has just given an engagement ring. Brock asks his father about the missing gun. No, he hasn't seen it, Philip lies, hiding it in his desk.

BOB TAKES CARE OF SUSAN:

Kim tells John that Andy is drinking again. To her great relief, Dixon does not blow his top, but works with his ex-wife to get at the root of the problem. His attention to his son doesn't stop him from insulting Julie Wendall. While Kim and John talk to representatives from AA, Bob feels left out. He's been tending to Susan Stewart's persistent back pain. The martylike doctor refuses to have an X-ray. Emily urges her mother to tell John that Lucinda was responsible for her injury; even John wonders if his wife is behind it. Susan wants John to come to her out of desire, not out of need. Casey warns Susan about the dangers of taking those addictive painkillers; he catches her secretly chugging another handful.

EMILY SELLS OUT:

It seems that the only way Brock Lombard is going to escape his father is to turn state's evidence against him and go into hiding. Emily is prepared to go with him, so she needs to unload her share of Montgomery and associates. Lily Walsh takes them off her hands, making a generous offer her mother's chief executive, Kirk Anderson, a job. Naturally, Lucinda offers to but Lily out, but the Mogul's daughter, who once despised business, wants to make a killing.

PHILIP CLOSES IN ON BROCK:

Brock recognizes Hey YOU as Bruce Dreyfuss and offers him protection from the Lombard family. Bruce rejects it, hating Brock as the man who killed his family. Emily pleads guilty to perjury in the Paul Stenbeck trial and is sentenced to two years' probation and three hundred hours of community service. This interferes with her plans to leave town with her fiance'

Other complications arise in Brock's plan to escape. His ex-father-in-law commits suicide after a meeting with Philip. Then Tonio tells Brock's mother that Emily has sold her partnership in M&A. Philip finds this development very interesting. Is Emily planning to leave town? he wonders.

BOY TO MAN:

Tonio's pressing Julie to leave Andy and move with in him. Sensing that he's applying too much pressure, Tonio makes another proposition. Why not move into the apartment below his for six months if she doesn't want to live with him right away? Reyes suggests.

DALLAS:

Bobby's former lover, Kay Lloyd, enters his life a second time. Kay has come from Washington to warn Bobby that the Justice Department could revoke Ewing oil's charter. Despite the bad news, Bobby is happy to see Kay. After all, she once helped him save Ewing oil. Still harboring warm feelings for Bobby, Kay offers to assist Bob once again.

J.R., Meanwhile, is busy building a new friendship in Austin. After J.R introduces himself to Diana Farrington, she suggestively invites J.R. to meet her privately in order to explain his side of the tanker disaster. J.R. quickly mentions his own happy marriage, and it becomes clear to Diana that J.R. is only interested in business deals.

James and Michelle spend another night between satin sheets. Michelle figures she has done James an enormous favor by making Cally believe that J.R. and Michelle are having an affair. If Cally leaves Southfork, Vanessa can be reunited with J.R. Instead of being overjoyed, though, James worries that J.R will end up being hurt by Michelle's lie.

YOUR CHEATIN' HEART:

Upon his return to Southfork, J.R. learns that Cally has been out all night. His concern gives way to irritation, when Cally accuses him of sleeping with Michelle. Then Cally boldly announces that she spent the night with Alex Barton. "You just made the worst mistake of your life," J.R. warns his wayward wife.

J.R. confronts Michelle about the lie she told Cally. Michelle shrugs off J.R.'s anger by reminding him that she is willing to spy on Cliff Barnes. J.R. warns Michelle to come up with some good stuff or risk ending up "hangin' from a tree."

While Mckay and his vice presidents plot to take credit for Bobby's oil spill cleanup, Bobby and Kay work to rescue Ewing Oil. Suspecting that Kay's interest in Bobby goes beyond mere friendship, April also observes the natural chemistry between Bobby and Kay. With pretty Kay by his side, will Bobby have a hard time committing himself to April?

Anticipating another visit from James, Michelle is surprised by Cliff's early return from Austin. Cliff is surprised himself, when James appears at the door of Cliff's condo. James covers by demanding that Cliff stop harassing J.R., and Cliff seems to buy James's act.

A FAKE SEX TAPE:

At Southfork, Cally's Tears melt James's guilty heart. Elsewhere, unforgiving J.R. gives Alex Barton an ultimatum. If Alex does not leave town immediately, J.R. will release a doctored video of what appears to be Alex having sex with two young teens. Alex realizes the fake tape is convincing enough to create a scandal that could ruin his career. He must bid adieu to Dallas.

Next, J.R. heads for Austin and decides to mix business with pleasure. In exchange for Diana's committee vote, J.R. agrees to help her husband's career. Later, J.R. breaks his own marriage vows by taking a steamy shower with Diana.

Back home, J.R. gleefully reports his infidelity to Cally. Horrified, Cally tries to convince J.R. that she really did not sleep with Alex. J.R. does not believe her until Alex confirms that he and Cally only spent the night talking. "She was so damn faithful to you, I was nearly sick," Alex mutters. As Alex flies out of Cally's life, J.R. races home and makes a shocking discovery: Cally is lying unconscious on the bed with an empty bottle of pills in her hand.

J.R. is furious when Lucy confesses that she gave Cally the pills. Lucy only thought Cally was having trouble sleeping. Fortunately, the paramedics report that Cally will be okay. Lucy sighs with Relief, and J.R. goes to his young wife.

Cally explains to J.R. that she did not intend to kill herself. Never having taken sleeping pills before, Cally accidentally overdosed. J.R. apologizes for being unfaithful. Happy that J.R. loves her again. Cally is wiling to forgive and forget.

A WOMAN SCORNED?:

April stops taking Bobby's phone calls. She is tired of having to constantly fight for Bobby's affection and attention. Determined not to let Bobby back into her life until he really wants her, April occupies her time finding an office for her new oil business.

Because Ewing Oil is short on cash, Bobby decides to sell one of the company's best fields. Later, Bobby's broker phones with the good news that a mystery person has paid full price for the field. Bobby is certain the buyer must be Carter McKay.

Although J.R. refuses Cally's request to bring Alex Barton back, Lucy promises to show Cally's art at Lucy's new gallery. J.R.'s plan to return to Austin alarms Cally. In order to assure Cally that he will be faithful, J.R. brings James along.

In Austin, James learns that Diana and J.R. plan to continue their affair. J.R. justifies his indiscretion by claiming it is purely for business. James, disgusted with J.R.'s attitude, dumps any dreams of getting J.R. and Vanessa back together. He angrily asks J.R., "You think I want my mother married to someone like you?"

CLIFF's INFIDELITIES:

McKay brings his old girlfriend, Rose, to Dallas. Because Rose loves McKay, she agrees to entice Cliff Barnes into a hotel room. Later, McKay shows Cliff a tape of the encounter and suggests that as long as Cliff's committee ignores evidence unfavorable to Weststar, no one need ever know cliff slept with the new Mrs. Carter McKay. Cliff is speechless.

A kiss from Kay fails to light any romantic fires in Bobby. Obviously, he has another woman on his mind. Admitting defeat, Kay heads back to Washington. April finally gets her man back, and it looks like he is here to stay. "I think we should get married," Bobby tells her.

Richard comforts her, and Lauren surrenders to his kisses. Who's watching them from the window? Walker. He's ready to kill.

NOW SERVING...DYNAMITE:

Lauren invites Michael Sharpe and his date, Genele, to dinner. Both Michael and Richard are in a surprise, she thinks. But it's Lauren who gets the biggest surprise. The dining room is a wreck. Strewn across the floor are China, silverware and flowers. Richard leads Lauren outside to the porch, but a shotgun blast forces them inside. They hear Walker's voice telling them not to leave so soon.

He enters the house with his shotgun. Michael and Genele arrive for dinner, coming face to face with Walker. He leads them inside to join his wife and Richard. Walker's got another surprise underneath his hunting jacket- two sticks of dynamite strapped to his body. He's wired to a timing device. Walker grins as everyone stares at him, terrified. He pushes the timer to start and it beeps loudly.

BITS AND PIECES:

Before he blows up. Walker explains why he's doing this. He's lost the two most important things in the world- his children. Now his marriage has gone bad and his career has fallen apart. He blames Richard and Michael for his misery and he wants to give them a taste of what they've given him. Then, Michael and Kevin come home. Walker can't kill everyone, along with himself, with the boys in the room. He shuts off the timer and closes his jacket.

The nightmare seems to be over. Then Walker drops the timing device on the floor. The beeping starts again, faster, faster. Walker tries to shut it off, but he can't. Richard tries to help him, but Walker tells him to stand back. He's wired the dynamic to go off should anyone attempt to take off the contraption.

Walker backs away from the house rapidly as the others watch, sick with horror. Lauren starts to go after him but Richard stops her. Her eyes meet walker's one last time. Then Richard pulls her to him, covering her eyes. She screams when Walker explodes with the dynamite. He is no more.
