Not really. The type of character that Marty was doesn't exist in soaps anymore and frankly never will. Marty is still nothing more than the woman who was raped by Todd unfortunately which is why I think Kelly has flopped and Tina before her. There comes a time when yesteryear is just yesteryear. Everyone can't be Blanche Devereaux.

That's so sad but true. Langston and Markko were once both characters I rooted for and wished and wished would get bigger stories. Now Langston has (not Markko; he's a pathetic afterthought in this crap) but she's such a gross, heartless witch that I now want her murdered. Bad writing through and through. RC always seems to go for the "shock or wow them" factor independent of who the characters actually are.
