I thought her friendship with JR brought out the most interesting sides of both characters, and also strengthened the canvas, as their stories were intertwined. I have never known why AMC ended that friendship. I think it was because they assumed it was better if JR was only about Babe and Tad and bitching at Adam (which has gone on to horribly butcher JR's character) and if Kendall were about Zach and Rylee (which didn't do her character any favors either).

When I said this, I wasn't forgetting that Kendall has been involved in various murders, arsons, and other crimes for most of her run on the show, even spending a stint in prison under SMG. I'm talking about her more recent stories which are so often about stupid stunts that have no purpose or are so contrived, like the Crash story, the attempts after that to make us pity Greenlee (framing Greenlee for a kidnapping), Stuart's murder, etc.

Awful, just horrible!

This is the very definition of what I call Battered Viewer Syndrome. I walk away but then the show lures me back with sweet promises that "It'll be different this time." and "I promise it'll never happen again." In spite of myself I begin to trust all over again. I forget the bruises, the split lip, the weeks and weeks of Ryan. And just when I'm feeling good about Natalia, Brooke, and nuLiza they bring back Kendall to slap me in the face, push me down the stairs and kick me in the ribs as she tells me it's all my fault because I burnt dinner.
