NeNe Leakes@NeNeLeakes 2h

I would NEVER n life call her! Was calling Mashella Hampton & dialed Manlow Hampton by accident! But I deleted her number so no worries

And before you say Nene is lying - Suppose she is. Suppose she DID call Marlo last night, we have no idea if Nene called to try and patch things up or if she called and read Manlow for filth. I doubt she deliberately called at all.

Also -

I'm not saying Marlo can't be Kenya's friend, I'm saying that for her to act like she is Kenya's best friend, in front of NeNe, when she KNEW there was an issue there was wrong. No good friend would do that and if you disagree, you're wrong!

How did Nene make Marlo when it was Marlo who introduced Nene to Ted Turner's daughter? If hanging out with Ted's daughter doesn't mean "I've arrived" then what does? It's Marlo too that improved Nene's style b/c s1-3, Nene could not dress for sh-t. Her style was abysmal. Marlo was already a "Jones" before Nene arrived. Hooker or not, if men wanna spend money on Marlo then do it, hunni. She ain't hurting no one. Mary Magdalene was a hooker.

And Nene is pissed at Kenya for doing the same thing Nene did s4--befriending Marlo to strengthen her side. Pot meet kettle. Nene should've never brought Marlo around, and Kenya would've probably never befriended her. Kick yourself for that one, boo.

 The style thing was insignificant im talking about what she expects out of friendships. You see how she keeps a group of women around her who won't question her. Look at how Lexis was talked to last week at the charity event or how she got Cynthia choosing her side over her husband. Sorry but Nene doesn't like to see anyone doing better than her or telling her what she needs to hear. I know you think I'm a Benedict Arnold but she needs to be told about herself instead of her ego being inflated constantly.

I'm just saying I'd rather have no connections at all than 100 connections I had to spread my legs to get. Marlo is not a "Jones" now, and she definitely was not one before this show. At the very most she slept with a married Jones' or two and walked out with a handbag and a couple fake friends.

Nene is not mad at Kenya for befriending Marlo, she's mad at Marlo for being a shady !@#$%^&*].

Nene is bitter and angry that she's nothing. Period.

She thought she was big [!@#$%^&*] and now she knows she ain't [!@#$%^&*]. She needs the show and ain't happy about it and it's showing.

She is acting like a spoiled brat not getting her way. It's pathetic and so is she.

Marlo ain't her friend. She's her show friend. She added her to her wedding for the attention. Everyone knows that.

If loyalty is the wrong thing to expect out of a friendship, then throw me a scarlet A boo and I will wear it like a badge of honor. Marlo picked the wrong side in this fight and now more than ever has squandered all hopes of ever being a housewife.

Just remember boo, I knew you when your signature was the evolution of Nene Leakes, not the R&B goddess your ride or die heifer wishes she looked like.

I'm not saying Marlo wasn't known. I'm saying exactly what you said - that she was known for the wrong reasons. Which proves MY point. Nene absolutely made Marlo. Marlo was known to be an escort and a violent criminal. When she was brought onto this show Nene could have wiped the floor with her and sent her back to breaking bottles in bitches faces. But instead Nene befriended her and it's ONLY because of that friendship that Marlo became relevant to the show. When Marlo fucked up and got kicked off the show it was NENE who brought her back into the spotlight with I Dream of Nene. Saying Nene didn't make Marlo is like saying RHOA didn't make Nene.

Nene needed a costar for I Dream of Nene. She knew Marlo is who would bring ratings and attention to the show. There is nothing wrong with that, but it was a mutually beneficiary situation. None of the other BRIDEmaids would've been as strong as Marlo as the sidekick and I strongly believe Marlo is the reason she had a spin-off and not a special. If you look at the first episode, everybody was going on about how boring it was. It wasn't until Marlo joined that people started talking. I think RHOA made a mistake by not bringing her on sooner this season.

Marlo said she's never dated a married man and she's always honest, so ... And everyone can't be righteous and someone has to be ratchet. It's the balance of life. So if Marlo has to do ratchet things for some change then so be it. She ain't killing no one, and no one is holding a gun to her sugar daddies' heads. They love spending money on her so be it.

Marlo, the always honest hooker. The always honest hooker that's been arrested 14 times including for crimes like money laundering, check fraud, etc.

Marlo, the non-killer who broke a bottle in a woman's face and left her so disfigured that she killed herself.

I get being a fan of her, I once was as well. But girl BYE with you painting her as an angel. She is a disgusting human being who happen to dress well and provide good reality tv.

Half the women on these shows are hookers with their old ass ugly husbands that they're only with for money. That is one thing nobody can ever sell me on with Marlo.

Marlo helped soften Nene's image in season 4 and put lots of money in her pocket by making I Dream of Nene an actual series and a success. Nene did not make her.

    • Very true...but TPTB all were desperate to get into prime time or films and couldn't, so they looked down on their own industry and tried to infuse themes that just didn't work in soaps. I would have thought after 9/11 the shows would have gone out of their way to provide that warmth and comfort that the audience wanted, and to bring old viewers back. Budget cuts? Just bring back kitchen sets, both ATWT and GL got rid of those besides one each..(the Snyders and the Bauers) You don't need super fancy sets if you have the writing.

    • LY has a job on another show. She's going to be on the Legally Blonde prequel "Elle"
    • From what I can put together, the 1980s had several actors with interrupted runs. Michael Zaslow: 1971-1980, 1989-1997 Maureen Garrett: 1976-1980, 1988-?, ?-end Christopher Bernau: 1977-1984, 1986-1988 Peter Simon: 1981-1984, 1986-1996, ?-end Maeve Kinkead: 1981-1987, 1989-1996, 1997-end Robert Newman: 1981-1984, 1986-1991, 1993-end Jordan Clarke: 1983-1987, 1989-1993, 1996, 1997-end By 1989, I believe the longest-tenured cast member without a departure was Jerry verDorn.
    • I know they were popular, but once they tamed Van's shrew, I thought Billy just brought Van down. Since they had just Nola and Billy sitting around in 97, an interesting thing would be if they had developed a friendship that turned into something else while Van was "dead". Maybe Billy lives at the Boardinghouse (to work on repaing his relationship with Bill) and works at Company instead of the stupid diner. Nola and Bridget give him a job there and Nola and Billy (who had originally been a bit antagonistic) slowly build up a relationship and then Van returns. A returned new lease on life Van would return to her "high hat ways" and take on the Spaulding's for control of the company with Billy helping her behind the scenes.  I know that Jordan was on sporadically because of his issues and them not know if they could trust him not to fall of the wagon, but they could have done it slow..and give Van and Nola a new reason to get in each others hair (I love a good Van/Nola tussle.)

Perhaps it wasn't the most well-played match in history, but that's something no one will remember in a few years time.
    • The thing with Martin (for me) is that he should have been Anita and Vernon's kid. I honestly think he would have been fine being an older or younger brother to Dani and Nicole. It also would have made his relationship and kids feel more realistic. A handsome salt and pepper late 40s/early 50s congressman who settled down and adopted kids to fit an image for politics. Not that he didn't want this lifestyle but it is what he needed to do to get ahead. Also, we don't often get older characters playing LGBT roles not just on daytime but across most media. It would have been a refreshing take. As an alternative, Sam and Ty could have been Martin's kids from an earlier marriage a la the NJ governor that was outed. We could have also seen parallels between Vernon and Anita thinking back to how they handled Martin coming out compared to the way they accepted Chelsea.  As for Martin being Nicole and Ted's kid, I do wish in this case he was not tied to a marriage and kids, so that he could date and sleep around like any other character on a soap.  Yeah, I didn't get it...but what I did get is that girl is a bit crazy like her mama.  Vanessa and Joey talking about the poker table...get these people off my screen.

    • Unpopular opinion, but I didn't think the show should have reunited Billy/Vanessa at all until the final stretch of the show. When watching the 1989 episodes when both Vanessa and Billy return after being off the show... I liked that Vanessa had moved on from him and that the show was hinting at her wanting to reunite with her first love Ross while looking down at Nadine for being the one Ross was dating.  And I loved the twist where Billy and Nadine teamed up to keep Vanessa/Ross apart.   This was an interesting concept that sadly the writers dropped with the show deciding to make Vanessa pine over Billy between 1990 and 1993 when they finally reunited.   To me, Vanessa pining over Billy seemed out of character. At least once Billy was carted off to prison in 1994... she and Billy divorced and stayed divorced until the final months when they finally found their way back together.  During the years when they were divorced, I liked that they had maintained a friendship and connection.. with viewers (like my late mom) wondering if they would ever decide to make it work again. I wish the show had tried that with Josh/Reva because by the time of the final episode when they rode off into the sunset, I didn't care because we'd been through the make up and break ups between them for over 10+ years by that point.
