Crazy how a good season can turn one's opinion around for the time being. For instance, I thought this was mostly a great season for Potomac's Gizelle. She's lucky Candiace opted to leave the show, and perhaps she's best on her own without her sidekick. Instead, she has to learn to buddy up with others. 

Thank you. All her attempts to be Regina George, and yet all Lisa did was show how unsentimental she is. 

 

I agree. Especially about Gizelle. She had a great season from where I'm at in my watching.

About time Ashley. I am curious what her storyline will be for S10. Hope they don't waste too much airtime talking about her divorce. Is she still the youngest in the cast?

I hate we didn't get more of Jassi. I was starting to like her. Loved that look and dress she wore in the finale. She had real potential. 

I know I am in the minority but Gizelle didn't have a good season. Was she nice? Sure, but was I entertained? No. Gizelle fake making up and playing nice did nothing for me. I would have preferred to see Robyn make up with Wendy and Candiace without Gizelle.  

And it's so interesting to me to see everyone praise Gizelle when she really gave Robyn all season 🤣. It's odd.

Lol. Nope. Robyn would just give befuddlement over the fact they all knew her man was cheating on her. Maybe a business idea.

 

Gizelle has given...at least this season...the story of her father and the will, the story of her becoming single and actually acting on exploring what that means, the story of her growing friendship of Wendy, her alliance with La Dame against Mia, and a business idea. Of course. lol. She has been moving carefully this season for sure, but she has actually been giving after seasons of being a bump on a log. And lest I forget, the rest of her children leaving. And my loathing of Gizelle speaks for itself since the days of Monique. But I'll give her her credit. For this season at least.

I disagree.  Juan shouldn't even be a conversation because it truly was a topic of discussion from the beginning. But her friendships within the group were much more real and interesting than what Gizelle has.

She talked about her father's Will like 2 times. There was no real follow through with most of storylines this season. She's only playing up the dating stuff because of that "Love Hotel" show coming out. 

I didn't enjoy her playing Karen's sidekick in this Mia takedown because they don't care about that girl lying.  Mia been lying since her first season. 

She's an empty nester but her daughters will be right there filming with her all next season.

That's true. The Roommate did have more of a friendship with the girls than Gizelle. Outside of that, Roommate gave her thing with Juan. And that's it.

 

Meanwhile...here's Gizelle with the will. I wouldn't say no follow-up because Gizelle was consistent with GnA and dealing with her feelings over her father. And playing up STILL means giving something. And she...well...did. 

 

Now you might not like her ki-kiing with La Dame, but she still was DOING something. And yes, my Messy Mia has been lying from go, but it took this year for Gizelle to have an issue with it and started playing chess to Mia's checkers. Again...still giving. 

 

And while the kids are leaving, I would still expect them to film because they are the best thing to happen to her. That said...them leaving adds to a new direction for Gizelle...which she actually showed her feelings about them leaving and started doing things like focusing on her business, getting into the dating scene (even if it's a prologue to her forthcoming dating show...not the first time a HW has used a season to set up a spinoff mind you...again doing), and getting moving on staying relevant by alliances with housewives rather than sit back with a sour look on her face. This was a nice episode for Sutton. A beautiful moment with she and Reba. she's my favorite on the show now. Flaws and all.

I think we need a break from the Pk/Dorit divorce.  

Erika really needs a storyline.

If one had to go, it should've been Gizelle.  Robyn deserved the Redemption arc imo. After watching this dry season, I for sure miss her.

I mean if it was between the two of them, Robyn should have stayed if only because she was easily still friends with enough of the group that it would not have been jarring versus Gizelle. Now to be fair, Gizelle hasn't tried to date anyone since S4. 😜 It's been all about pretending she was back with Pastor Holy Whore. And coming for people's marriage. THAT'S IT. 

 

I did like that Robyn went for her S7 50Cynt moment, but she fumbled so hard last season outside of crying on curbs and her drama with Candiace. 

 

The sad truth is...Gizelle would not have given if Robyn was still there. If anything, they would probably target Wendy again. So it was good that Production shook everything up by throwing Gizelle to the deep side of the pool. She had no choice, but to adapt. And I'm glad she did. Still don't like her, but she gave some moments. And thankfully Mia was there for her to get angry at so we can see some of old Gizelle. And this year...Gizelle is actually in the right. She should be proud she managed to maneuver so well.

I’m actually excited to see how Gizelle does at  a reunion for once. She does not like Mia’s lying ass.

And that's where we differ. she didn't adapt at all. Production /Bravo already started sending her messages by moving her seat at last year's reunion. She was always coming into S9 differently. I respectfully agree to disagree with you though ❤️.

FACTS. I think we all saw that Production's message with the seating. I agree with you on that.

I thought Gizelle had a solid "in-between" season where she wasn't the main focus. It's similar to what Erika is doing over on BH right now. It's not sustainable as a long-term note, but I think it behooves these 'wives sometimes to just be a part of the cast and support other storylines. I do agree that both of them need a new direction or new "era" moving forward if they're to continue. 

And Britani was great Friend Of casting on SLC. I don't want or need her as a main HW either, but the chaos and delusion she brings as a Friend is fantastic. It gives the other women something to play off.

Completely agree. Gizelle and Robyn fed off each other's negativity. Robyn is too stupid to function and messed around with production by revealing what should have been storyline on her podcast, so I'm glad she got the axe and she should stay off our screens.

That's how I feel. Gizelle had a B Storyline kind of season. She was not the lead for anything other than hating Mia, which I fully support. The parallel with Erika on BH is right on. And I think it's been good for both of them.

Britani as an FOH is a must for next season. She is a train wreck that the other HW's can devour for fodder.

I fought against it, but darn if she isn't a great FOH for this show. The chaos! The delusion! The taste in men...thirsty AND not. lol. She's my kind of coco, and I admit I would LOVE to see her back next season. Not as a HW. Keep her as a FOH. She really has the makings of being SLC's Marlo...when Marlo was a FOH on RHOA. And she has given them all so much to play off of. I'm still laughing at her waiting around to join the case for the end of reunion toast.
