Bravo's The Real Housewives of....

Luann is only a good wing woman to those she views as beneath her, and not a threat to her.  Otherwise, she's putting a knife in your back and stealing your man away from you.

Luann doesn't strike me as someone looking to settle down so I'm guessing she's on to keep her name in viewers minds.

Gizelle is too demanding and not honest so any self respecting man would steer clear of her.

Ashley has two small children.. so any man would be smart not to engage with her or else be prone to using some of his money to help her raise her two kids if Michael isn't giving her proper child support, etc.

Shannon, as much as I like her, needs to get her self-esteem in working order before even thinking of starting a new relationship.

Still the trainwreck appeal is high for this.. and if RHUGT is no longer a thing.. this would be a nice show to have come up every so often with four single housewives.

I am gagging. Porsha said last night she would welcome Mia to Atlanta. Come on in Mia, let's cause a scene.

Cynthia is the closest thing to a real friend in this franchise. Ain't nobody forgot the stuff Kenya pulled on Ultimate Girls Trip.

Her friendships with Nene and Kenya lasted much longer than they should have. Now that I think about it, maybe it is karma she is the last one standing!

The nasal drives me about as nuts as her empty, therapy-speak phraseology. She is literally ridiculous playing the sad violin about her fallout with Kenya.

And while I do think Porsha has a right to be upset at Dennis and Drew, her targeting of Angela is wrong. I'm not surprised Porsha said what she did about Charles -- Porsha has always been in search of rich sugar daddies. Wedding ring be damned.

I did love Cynthia and Porsha's scene together, because that is a good decade of history between the two women. Nevertheless, Cynthia making nice with Brit, I can see why Kenya might be pissed.

Angela is a boss. I really like her.

Carlos King confirmed on his live that when he worked on the show, they tried to cast Angela every year since season 3 up until he left in 9 an the Oakley's declined each time. In an alternate universe, she'd have joined in place of one o the other additions we got Edited by Cheap21

I can't help but wonder how Angela would have interacted with Nene and the others. There is something OG about her in the way she stands her ground and won't put up with BS. Maybe she wouldn't have been a hit in configurations of the past, but at the moment, with RHOA in soft reboot, she is exactly what this franchise needs. She grounds the show to an extent. And she's got a sense of humor.

So excited!! They have some expensive trips this year, to include a cruise - I think that's a Housewives first.

The new girl doesn't seem to by shy, so that's good. Looks like Alexia/Marysol may have some tension and if Marysol doesn't like Todd, that'll never bode well for their friendhsip if she continues to stay with him (which it seems like she is still making out with him on beaches as of last week).

Weird that we didn't see Adriana at all. She usually stirs a lot of drama.

They do look fun!  Yep, I knew she was back because I heard of a feud she has with a former friend (don't want to spoil), but I was just surprised she wasn't featured more in the trailer, which leads me to believe there is way more drama to expect than what we see there.  Maybe the midseason trailer will have more too.

Loved it. And they look like they have several storylines that I'll be looking forward to. Continuing on from the reunion cliffhanger was a great touch as well.

    • Yes. I don't know if Lenore was ever asked. Then it became a nun. Thanks. I didn't realize it was in 1987. That timeline doesn't make a lot of sense even if she would have had Ed to interact with. If they didn't ask her back in 1989 and she was willing, what a stupid error. The attempts at these feuds, or even the whole families tied together stuff like Maryanne Carruthers, never had any real impact because of how depleted the Bauers felt even by the mid '80s. And instead of expanding them, which would have been common sense, various producers were just too lazy, or too ashamed, and kept bringing on other families, or bringing in too many people at one time and not knowing how to write for them (the Spauldings in the McTavish era - as SOD said at the time, everyone in the family had the same personality).
    • Wasn't there talk of them bringing back Rita as Gus' mother at one point? Or something?
    • I think they are a part of the same family, although Carla was never really scheming for the same reasons, and once her double life was exposed, she stopped.
    • Rachel/Ada, Mona/Erica, a mother/daughter at LOVING, these are all examples of the Agnes Nixon "troublesome daughter/put upon mother" trope. Are Carla/Sadie by any chance one of the pairs that make up this trope? Another thing that these 2 shows might have in common. OLTL had a very strong thematic approach to socioeconomic differences between groups of people. Class differences. AW at an earlier point had this too but to be clear it was not as much as OLTL. So that is a similarity but marginal.  Besides that, I see no other comparable things. Paul Rauch was a very different EP at different shows. Oh, I've thought of one more thing. Using actors from the Broadway stage.  But, realistically that was something all of the NY shows had in common. So I don't think it has any uniqueness between AW & OLTL.
    • When you look at the period between Sweeps, it's as if they tried to maintain a kind of pace where they had a lot of plates spinning in the air & on their fingertips & the whole goal was nothing but to not drop any of those plates. A version of spinning one's wheels. They're not getting anywhere but they give the appearance of a whole lot of activity. I believe it's all about this appearance. At moments they accidentally hit a chord & something resonates but it is a false event.

    • I’m not speculating anything, but I admit, I’m getting a little worried about James Reynolds.
    • I feel like this is what they're doing by creating lots of storylines but their biggest weakness for years is the inability to properly pace these stories and give resolution. A good example now would be the Gio story which has been simmering for months with very little movement. I went from not caring to being invested to not caring again because of how long it's taking for the secret to be revealed. One story like that would be fine but it seems like everything moves at this snails pace on GH. They need to do a better job of rotating the stories so everything isn't in that same treading water phase.
    • However, those of us who watch DAYS have been spoiled. On Peacock there are no preemptions. Not for anything & not in or about any show.  I read somewhere that we Baby Boomers in a way invented instant gratification but then we realized that it was not fast enough.
