Bravo's The Real Housewives of....

That whole chilling-with-Production scene still does not sit right with me. WTF was that? It was like cheerleaders hanging with their Head Cheerleader. Meanwhile, Ubah and Jessel got shunted to the hotel. Like Ubah was the dangerous, out-of-control one, not Brynn.

I know RHs get close with their handlers. But that moment illustrates what has gone wrong with Production recently (under Eric Fuller's watch). The favoritism. These guys want to be Brynn's buddy. And they MUST have known the message that sends to the other women as they came into the kitchen. It says: "We are with Brynn. Bravo is with Brynn. We are her posse supporting he actions and protecting her. And you ladies better know it." I am so glad that the two women who entered the kitchen first were Sai and Racquel, because neither of them liked what they saw, that was clear. Both of these women have some balls, and I wonder if they made their feelings known BTS that they were not going to F with Brynn anymore. And that was the start of Brynn changing her plans from "horseback-riding" to getting on the next flight. The scene with Ubah/Jessel straight afterwards was cathartic, 100% necessary and, IMO, quickly assembled once Brynn left.

I would have fired her lawyers months ago for not getting the police footage first and immediately advising their client to settle! But it sounds like she's going through lawyers with the sole intention of 'clearing her name.' Karen, your name is soiled. Best to take the judges' decision with good grace, plea for clemency in terms of length of sentence, and do a mea culpa on TV which will probably involve some honesty. Her fans still like her, they just want to see her take some ownership/accountability.

In the motion that Karen's new lawyers filed, it does not seem there is intent to appeal, but instead, to file with the Court a sentencing memo to adequately address the Court and the prosecutors office. They also point out Karen entered rehab out of state and would only be discharged a day before her sentencing, so she would not be able to confer with her lawyers about their memo, which they would file by February 14, 2025, well before the new sentencing date.

It seems that Karen did not trust her previous lawyers to file an adequate sentencing memo, so she hired experienced lawyers to do so. It seems that she is going into this sentencing ready to accept responsibility.

“Ms. Huger is seeking to have the benefit of counsel’s 30 years of experience handling cases of this kind, in the Maryland Courts, and in fashioning recommendations that State and the Court may find acceptable to address the community’s interests in accountability, rehabilitation, supervision, and deterrence,” the motion read.

Karen’s new lawyers said they last spoke to Karen as she entered an out-of-state program that is appropriate for this case.

The lawyers said they had not received permission from Karen to disclose the nature of the program.

“The rules of the program severely limit the counsel’s ability to communicate with Ms. Huger and prepare for sentencing. [Karen] will be returning from that program on January 28, 2025, the day before the scheduled sentencing,” the motion read.

You are always on point with the wide-randing details of this legal case, and others. With the law, detail is everything. We may all have different opinions on what Karen is doing and why, but you always expand our understanding about the purely legal motives at play here, and that truly enhances the discussion.

LOL....Brynn BOMBED Part 1 of the reunion. She getting it from all sides and doesnt know how to handle a dragging.

RHOBH

Oh and i dont knoww who Kyle pissed off but the producers hate her this season. They way they are clocking her lies with video reciepts has me ROTFLMAO. She is looking bad this season and spiraling out with no real support. I think the producers are on her azz bc of how she wasted everyone's time last season not being transparent.

I remember several of us calling that due to the other show so good to hear they are getting her. Yay!

They let Mia's representative come? lol.

But seriously, love it. They are giving me RHOA vibes when the ladies would do white. Heck, I think Mia's dress is like one of Kenya's. As far as favorites...honestly...it's Gizelle (she finally dressed hehe) and Stacey's for me. Love Ashley's styling though.

    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with Eric,a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then  tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he smashed into a mirror, dying of glass wounds. So there was a supernatural element. I wonder if the Brody character in the credits was Eric Brody?
