Enjoy it while it lasts....lol

I just did and it looked good! Im pumped for NY. I wasnt sure how I would feel about Bethenny bc I loved her on this show and grew to dislike her after she left, but I loved what I saw of her here. I also really like Annie from GL. She looks like she is going to be a spitfire.

Kristen? Irrelevant. Why is she back?

There were moments where I was excited and others where I was like "umm okay". I'm gonna wait to see. I do think 8 is really really pushing it. I think 7 would have been excellent and if you were going to do 8 get rid of freaking useless Kristen and bring back Aviva!

I love Bettheny is still the same "take me or leave me" type of bitch. And please Heather just TRY IT. This Skinnybitch will gather you up real quick!

OMG I literally thought that was Cynthia Watros for a second I was like "Dorinda... WTF?"

And ATL needs to have a hot, fresh new ad for Season 8 too. These NY chicks ratings are well below the other franchises. Hopefully there's a casting bloodbath over there so they'll be forced to give us something new.

Melbourne

DEAD at Pettifleur's shade off Gamble. "I cant do dumb". OMG, I love her bc I can relate. DEAD at her telling Lydia to her face that she thinks she's pretentious. Good on Chyka for not caring for the gossiping and instead tried to be fair to Pettifleur and not prejudge her

Petti's book is called "Switch the Bitch." Hmmmm, Omarosa has one called the "The Bitch Switch"

That event was awful. Was not here for that costume role playing. Boring

Overall this season is getting to a slow start. Petti is the breakout star. It looks like she will get the villian edit but its all good bc she can handle her own and isnt as vile as Andrea.

OMG NYC I can't wait! I've never experienced Bethanny before but so far I'm liking what I'm seeing. Heather vs Luanne? Heather vs Bethanny? I am so here for that! They literally showed nothing of Kristen. Didn't she and her husband that doesn't like her renew their vows or something? Even though I'm very off and on with Ramona, I felt pretty bad for her in the trailer. Carole still seems pretty boring. Hopefully she won't be talking with her mouth full of food. That really irks me.

"Be cool. Don't be uncool."

Yes she has. Her reading Bullwinkle for filth is enough. And she's going to secure it at the reunion when she skull drags Nene, Porsha, and what's left of Phaedra.

She's a knockoff Jill. Jill even said it herself on her WWHL special [without saying Heather's name but she said it]. Heather is Jewish. Jill is Jewish. Heather is in the fashion industry. Jill [well Bobby] is in the fashion industry. Both women are opinionated. Both women are messy. Jill is just better at it.

You say she didn't but the whole cast said she did. Even Carlos King [the EP] said she did in an interview with Rickey Smiley. They just edited it to make it even. Kandi and Carlos on two occasions said the argument went on for hours and Claudia was getting it in.

And I do see similarities with Jill & Heather. Most people [not me] like Heather at the moment.

Looking at that cast photo, I still can't believe RHOA hasn't had one since season 5. Ridiculous! Melbourne had good ones this year as we'll. the first two episodes of that show were good, especially episode two. Pettifluer is to die for!

    • Eeek. I didn't know this either! I will say, though, even though they skimmed over a lot of Roger's past, I will give them props for not trying to turn him into a hero. Yeah, I was hoping we would get more 1986 episodes than were available on YT before, but now I'm wondering if I really want to see that.
    • That's what Julie Hanan Carruthers is doing for BTG at the new studio in Atlanta, but JHC is credited. And @errol said JHC is working in a nonproduction capacity at Y&R.
    • I remember when the whole Missy Reeves controversy started in 2012.  She tweeted support of a business that had made homophobic statements. Greg Rikaart (who was on Y&R back then) publicly called her out on it, but was willing to reach out and speak with her. Article here: https://greginhollywood.com/greg-rikaart-talks-about-his-twitter-war-with-fellow-soap-star-melissa-reeves-over-anti-gay-chick-fil-a-73139 That being said, ten years later, on DAYS, in 2022, when they had they double wedding of Leo/CraigWesley and Gwen/Xander, Jack and Jennifer came to the wedding.  At that time, Missy Reeves was only intermittently available for DAYS. Jennifer was living "in Boston" and Cady McClain and Missy were each intermittently appearing as Jennifer, on the specific occasions when the show required a Jennifer to appear. Missy wasn't on contract and she could have said no. But she chose to appear as Jennifer for the gay wedding of Greg Rikaart's character.   So... I mean... I would assume they reached a détente behind-the-scenes. Missy still has her belief system but there's that.
    • That was one of the best grandslam finals.  Alcaraz comes all the way back down 2 sets to 0, and three match points in the 3rd set, to win it in a 5th set tie-break.  And the quality of play was excellent - so many great shots.  What a battle!
    • Indeed. I may try to watch it in full sometime, but not anytime soon... Mark played Sean Baxter for a few episodes when Courtney married Andy. Burke was either on Broadway or at OLTL at that time, I suppose.
    • Well, Josh was a horndog. LOL Yep. It was one of the first really weird things Reva did with her PPD. She became obsessed with the idea that Dylan and Sam should get married. Sam was only 17, and needed her parent's permission. Reva helped them leave town so they could go to a neighboring state where Sam was old enough. Ross, Billy and Josh stopped them, then Sam went to India to try and persaude Justin. Reva followed her and didn't tell Josh she was going. While Reva was gone, Josh advertised for nannies, and Harley applied. He ended up hiring someone else. But when Reva returned, she hired Harley because (in her weird mental state) she wanted someone she could trust with the kids (because she feared Josh was trying to get rid of her and that Vanessa wanted the children.). After Reva starts treatment, she asks Harley to stay until she's stronger because she's good with the kids. At the party, Reva starts going off the rails, insulting Justin and Josh hauls her to a private dining room to ask WTF. Reva starts confronting him about the "affair" with Vanessa, and he realizes she is weird. He locks her in the dining room and frees Mindy and Van from the ladies room (where Reva has locked them in). Van starts telling him that Reva attacked her and needs help.  Reva escapes out the window of the dining room and goes back to the party, climbs onto a table and starts a striptease. Josh gets her to stop, takes her home and after filling Ed in, decides to go to the doctor the next day. Reva then takes off and spends days running around town, coming on to a guy she thinks is Billy, Billy, Hamp, Frank and Roger.  Roger takes her to his apartment and takes nude pictures of her, which he tries to blackmail Billy with. He wants the deed to the land the Towers is on in exchange for them. (Billy had been left the deed by a sweet old lady who lost her home in the 5th street fire. Roger had stolen the deed from her before she died. After Roger took those pics of Reva, she saw him hide them, and took an envelope from the hiding place. She didn't realize she'd taken the deed and not the pictures.)  Anyway, Billy and Vanessa trick Roger into burning the pictures, claim the deed and at the Towers opening reveal that Billy owns the land and therefore the Towers. That's what led to Roger and Alex's breakup and Roger and Mindy's affair. Mark Lewis was on ATWT? 1986 is not a good year, storywise. No bueno. Muy no bueno.
    • All the time they spent trying to make viewers feel sorry for Chad only for him to not even last that long. I wonder if they knew Richard Burgi was going so quickly. You're right about Josie replacing Cheryl. On paper, this should have made sense, given all the ties Josie had to the canvas, but I did prefer Cheryl. There was something very synthetic about Alexandra Wilson.  I suppose even if she did have some fans they were just so used to getting rid of people left and right, so she was more collateral damage. As you said above I do wonder what the plans were for Peggy Lazarus. I think AWHP mentioned her once telling Peter that Peggy Lazarus wasn't her real name. Maybe she would have been another Carl moll... Rebecca Hollen never did get her due in her soap roles.
    • So true...Hackney might have had a story on FC with Richard being an old lover of his, but reveals herself to be a Cartel member and blackmails Richard with something into doing her dirty work  LOL. But of course Richard had his hands full with the double trouble sisters Ms. Jones and Ms. Braxton that season.

    • Cat herself will be a stumbling block all her own as she vowed to Chad to stay away from him, thus redeeming her of her crime morally. Classic DAYS would have them gazing longingly at each other at Doug's Place or Blondie's, while Liz is serenading the room with a song aptly chosen to represent their feelings of emotional turmoil.
