Oh yes! I'm glad you think the same... you're exactly right about the LuAnn scene. LuAnn's reaction to Aviva during that scene was the same way she acted to Alex too! Reminding her that it was old news, trying to sweep it under the rug like it's no big deal and Aviva is trying to create a scene but won't get away with it... basically almost like shutting her up.

Wasn't Kim from Atlanta pregnant during the reunion? She announced it there... and then we saw the news reports that she isn't filming with the ladies much this season and doesn't go on the trip again this year, using the same baby excuse as last season.

I don't think it's fair to say Kim is using a baby excuse. She's very pregnant by the time they went on the trip. She has a toddler at home. I can see her not wanting to travel based on that. I can see her not filming as much. This isn't about families anymore. This is about cocktail parties and going to lunch and choking each other. She doesn't have much in common with the other women right now. I could see her making a comeback in season 6 once she's single and her kids are settled.

Atlanta should have done an overhaul this season. Cynthia should have been axed along with Sheree and Kim should have been bumped to friend status with Marlo returning as the same. This season also should be about phasing Nene out, keeping her as a full housewife but limiting her appearances as more focus is placed on Phaedra, Kandi and 2-3 new women. Thats how I would have approached things had I been Andy

NYC

Heather is becoming a stand out for me now. Unlike Jill's version of dealing with Ramona which was just screaming, Heather stays cool which just makes Ramona look even more crazy.

I don't know what Kool-Aid the Singers are giving Aviva, but her blind devotion to them is annoying. Thank god that's coming to an end shortly.

I still love Carole but her decision to stay away from the drama will probably get her axed.

When I watched Aviva on WWHL a couple weeks back, she looks mortified and uncomfortable. I wonder how she feels about this whole Real Housewives thing now that she's in the thick of it all. Carole was cool as a cucumber on her WWHL appearance, but like Antoyne said, she stays away from the drama which will do her no favors next year when casting for season six.

Ramona, Ramona, so delusional and mostly wrong, but God bless her, ya just gotta love her insanity. Sonja was all types of wrong, too, with the Heather situation. Sonja is making all these demands and is so ungrateful, I really hope she sees how self-absorbed she was in watching this episode. (Sonja is a blah take-her-or-leave-her character for me anyways, so I don't *really* care).

I just want to see the switch when Aviva is no longer up Ramona's ass. "CALM DOWN!" Good crazy stuff it looks to be.

    • I also wonder if it was considered controversial at the time to show a morally corrupt doctor?(another character troupe for Agnes Nixon, the upstanding male citizen who is hiding secrets back at home) Up until the early 1970s, prime-time would very rarely tell stories about the private lives of doctors, because advertisers tended to shy away from such content.
    • The only blonde I see is one of the actual women staring at first & then screaming & running later.  DAYS: Vivian's manservant Ivan is in a long curly red wig.

Y&R: long straight black wig is the actor Peter Barton whose character name I am blanking on.
    • I very much liked office Cleary and the actress who portrayed her (as you say, Mary Peterson).  A shame her turn didn't evolve into a contract role.   BTW, does anyone know the timeframe/years that Betty Rae served as casting director?  If i understand correctly, she not only led the effort for contract roles, but also for shorter 13- and 26-week roles.  IMO, GL had LOTS of very well-casted, limited roles, too. I'm surprised the actors throughout the soap industry, and especially P&G actors, have not assembled a book or something similar, praising Rae.  Each actor could write a few paragraphs or a page of text describing his or her experience.
    • No. Ruth had an extramarital affair with David while married to Joe.
    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
