That was C&B's stuff that aired in June 2002. Not June 2003, Higley had nothing to do with it.

Oh, you're right! I think I started watching around that time to get ready for Tony's return.

Higley was one of the scabs!

I heard her husband was the main writer at that time. Either way, there's been a steep decline in quality since then.

Billie was blah but the return of Larry Welch was awesome. The story had so many twists and turns. During the entire summer we saw a man spy/stalk Bo and Hope. Then Hope and Zack were kidnapped by the mystery man. Everyone in Salem thought the DiMeras were behind it, but we saw Billie on the phone with the mystery man. Then it was revealed that the man was Larry Welch, a character that was last seen in 1985 when Victor blackmailed him to prison. He framed Lexie and she went to jail. Andre came up with a plan to break Lexie out but then Bo killed her. At the same time Billie found out from Shane that Larry wasn't an ISA agent and Larry shot her. Larry then tried to leave Salem with Hope when Bo showed up and saved Hope. We found out that both Lexie and Billie were alive and in on the plan to catch Larry. This storyline tied in to all the others on the show at the time. John/Marlena/Andre, Jack/Jennifer/Colin, Sami/Brandon. Now that is how you write an umbrella storyline.

I need to rewatch this. I think I saved it all on tape. You're right, this was a pretty good umbrella storyline from B&C. Another umbrella storyline that had potential was the fallout of Stefan's will.

Colin's murder is my favorite murder storyline. Great build-up, many different suspects that had real motives for killing him. This story also had some good twists on the way.

"Murder at Midnight" - I was really excited for this. I think this was another story that B&C didn't get a chance to finish (like Stefano's will story).

Stupid Ken Corday for promoting Dena Higley!

Heh I really enjoyed the early parts of the Colin murder mystery, it was great classic Days stuff. Then Colin turned up alive on the stupid island to clear Nicole...sheer and utter ridiculousness...though we never saw what happened to Colin after the island stuff.

Toups: I have most of the storyline saved on tapes. I uploaded everything I had to youtube a few months ago. The only parts of the story I didn't have was some scenes with Lexie, Celeste, Tony and Abe in Lexie's jail cell and the scenes at the Brady Pub when Bo tells everyone that Hope is dead. I have uploaded everything else, here is the playlist http://www.youtube.com/user/FrancoMendez?feature=mhw4#g/c/ECF4902D65F45FA1

I've also uploaded the entire "Murder at Midnight" storyline

I loved Cwikly and Brash's tenure on the show. I think I still have one of my favorite episodes written by them on tape, and that is Alice's birthday celebration.

Realistic isn't a word that's used with DAYS often, but I adore the fact that Larry's kidnapping of Hope had lasting affects after the story ended, such as Hope's struggle to get Larry out of her mind. Perhaps one of the few and last time I actually felt sympathy for Hope.

I LOVED Sami & Austins wedding. Ive been trying to fidn it on youtube but have had no luck.

I also lvoed B&C's Days. Did they write the will reading? Because that was fantastic. I also loved Tony/Sami fake dating at that time.

I remember a lot of rumors that Rhasaan Orange, who wound up playing TEK, was originally hired to play Bill Horton, Jr. -- an illegitimate son from Africa. It seemed like there was even groundwork laid for him to show up, and then Bill had that stupid binturang or whatever delivered to Abby instead. Was that during Higley's time? It was all so ridiculous.

When Jennifer returned to Salem in 2000, she had had a falling out with her father, but we never found it what it was in the six years she was on the show. Tek as Bill Horton Jr. would've been cool.

We did find out. Jennifer thought that Bill was having affairs with different women when they were in Africa but Colin told Jen that Bill was working undercover to help sick and wounded on the "enemey side".

jack and jen were both botched right from the get go...well when jen first returned she was working with Bo that was good...then she was in that car accident that was good then she believed she was going crazy like her mom did that was good the rest went downhill and if i remember she had that horrible talk show in the house and also been hanging over a cliff for weeks when they were on the island.
