Sam Page(ex-Trey, AMC) heads to Desperate Housewives

Exclusive: Desperate Housewives lands Mad man Sam Page

by Michael Ausiello

Jan. 24, 2009

Sam Page is going toe-to-toe with another fiery redhead.

The actor, who plays the wayward husband of Christina Hendricks’ Joan on Mad Men, is joining Desperate Housewives for a multi-episode arc as Jeremy, a well-trained cook who idolizes Bree (Marcia Cross) and her old-fashioned values.

Page’s first episode is slated to air in late February.

Coincidentally, that’s right around the time the in-demand Shark alum kicks off a recurring role on ABC Family’s Greek as a campaign manager and potential spoiler in the Cappie/Casey romance.

I'm glad he keeps getting work, I thought AMC wasted him.

I lost interest in Housewives a long time ago but good luck to him.

And to think Richard Culliton HATED him and was UTTERLY FURIOUS when he was cast as Trey; he thought the guy was the worst actor ever.

Wow I didn't know this. I do remember reading Frons hated SP and Trey and wanted him gone.

Same here. Love Page, don't love DH.

I don't remember much about him really, all a pretty unremarkable time for me where I didn't watch much, but what made this dude so "awful" compared to the parade of awful that show has seen over the last two decades? Did Budig have a crush on him or something, he seems unfairly targeted.

I wonder what kind of actor Culliton had in mind for the role.

He wasn't awful--that's why I'm not sure I fully buy that all these people had an agenda against him. He was easy on the eyes, and his acting was good if a little green (he's improved since then but I think he was definitely more than capable at the time)--and the character had possibilities.

I forgot he was on Marti Noxon's primetime supernatural soap, Point Pleasant, which i think I was the only one who was heartbroken when it ended lol.
