I'll listen to the Susan Lucci appearance on the podcast.
In a way, it's refreshing that Sarah Michelle Gellar didn't try to paint a rosy picture of her relationship with Susan in that particular interview. I wonder if the two have ever had a conversation about their time on the show years later.

BTG: February 2026 Discussion Thread

Finally looping back around and wanted to say that I agree. I can like writing all I want...and I do...but eventually even I want to discuss sets. And I do hope to see some improvement now that we are hitting the one-year anniversary.

I do appreciate that just like with characters and writing, that it seems like the show is slooowlly factoring in what people are saying. Now it seems dialogue is popping up to explain why people do things where they do them. But...more...like outdoor sets...would be nice for example.

Sets are still very much an important element on soaps. They can reflect the personality just as much as clothes can. And when it comes to wardrobe, BTG got that in spades re: personality. I look forward to seeing the sets do the same. Eventually.

Guiding Light Discussion Thread

This is a "thing" now with various male celebrities - I guess in hand with that looksmaxxing trend of young men smashing their jaws with hammers. I haven't seen Jordi, but I know there's a lot of speculation about several comedians (John Mulaney, Kumail Nanjiani, etc.).
JFP would repeat this plot not once, but twice, on AW and OLTL, with young female cops breaking all the rules and also banging their superiors. She was never one to avoid putting her fantasies onscreen. She did not do this at GH - maybe because for most of her run she was working with dominant headwriters who saw cops as evil.

TBF, I don't think Bea Arthur and Betty White had had a falling-out. They just had very different personalities. (It also helped that they had a mutual friend in Rue McClanahan).
OTOH, it's clear that there's bad blood between Deidre and Suzanne and that Deidre is the one who's allowing that to affect her interactions with her castmate on screen.
All I can say is, poor SSH for having to carry those scenes at a time when she's still grieving her husband's passing.
